I don't remember the centenary of this routes history being marked back in 2013.
To this day, buses operated by TL ( Tilling is where the TL code comes from ) still ply the route , although shortened now.
I know TfL have the museum and did the year of the bus, and encouraged the garage open days. But maybe some more localised celebrations of individual route histories would help promote the services provided and increase patronage.

TL's open day sent a Routemaster to Farnborough on the 47 in 2014, a year late...
