I think that takes them to four MMC's at Westway - the others are identical to these two and are absolutely lovely to ride on with those fantastic leather seats.

They are used regularly on the scheduled services to Hampton boys school and next door Lady Elenor Holles girls school, when not on premium private hire. I often see an articulated coach in their fleet on a school route via Kingston (might be the route under the low bridge at Norbiton). They also have at at least 2 Van Hool tri axle coaches in the posh brown colour (most of the fleet is blue)

Having ridden on one at Brooklands during the Spring, they were fantastic, nice gutsy engine, it's a pitty they aren't as far as I know a available on the standard MMC. They have a very upmarket feel, a very far cry from the E200s and Tridents that I'd take to college! Perhaps Surrey bus ops could use them to lure people onto the buses!

I don't think they're taking two more. The article is about the two that they took earlier this year. Good to see an operator using such high-spec vehicles for school hires. For too many kids (outside of London) the only experience they have of buses is a tatty second-hand 'decker on a school trip - just the sort of vehicle that makes them think "ewww no way am I setting foot on a bus once I get my licence".

Ahh I see, - well in that case, I rode one of the ones mentioned in the article

Ah, I saw them exiting Raynes Park depot a few days ago - looking very smart indeed.
(It's amazing how the buses manage to pull out of the industrial area onto Grand Drive. Good driving skills)

Mr West says: “We live in an age when people are used to luxury cars and expect nothing but the best. That applies to children as much as corporate clients – but, in the former’s case, they tend to travel in bigger numbers.
How refreshing to here, sadly many bus manufacturers and operators haven't quite gotten round to that way of thinking!
