What a shock for Abellio Surrey! is this Abellio Surrey fail and give it up for good or cost too much money for running the service across the North West Surrey?
Well Done to Stageocach, Falcon Coaches, White bus service, London United, Reptons and Hallmark for win the bus services.
I wondering why Cardinal Buses had lost many bus service? Was Cardinal buses into the trouble?

Looks like Abellio Surrey will be virtually shutting down.
Now that I drive from Kingston to Ashford each day since I changed jobs, I see a fair selection of these buses. The Abellio fleet is quite poorly presented compared to Hallmark, Falcoln and First Berkshire.
Be interesting to see how Stagecoach play this, some of those Abellio routes have been using the Super Darts that were used on the Pegasus services few years ago. Not sure if Guildford are still getting new buses in the national order. Actually is Guildford near enough or might we see an outstation set up.

Goodness me - bye bye Abellio Surrey. Noteworthy to see Stagey mounting an incursion for what must be lowish value tendered work. Not been their style before. One wonders if a wider plan is afoot to see if they can "grow" some patronage, build a nascent network and ease the funding pain for SCC. Also interesting that RATP are putting a toe in the water again for Surrey tendered work. Last comment is that the new incumbents seem to be happy to hang on to work and even gain some more with the exception of Cardinal Buses. Interesting (that word again) times ahead.

Judging by the routes listed on the Abellio Surrey page, they will be left with the 461 (except evenings), 40, 570, 571, 572, 574 as well as the school services they operate. A big shame as the staff are very friendly at Byfleet having used nearly the entire network myself before the cuts came in.

As far as I can see it's still an SCC-tendered service, unless First are taking it on commercially? Sorry if this has been mentioned already.

I've always found the drivers alright when I done 515 a few times they where always friendly and helpful I'm hoping to do the 715 in July and see how that compares to the former abellio route

Defiantly seen an increase in 'butts on seats' over the past few months. Also my favourite route that goes out of Kingston.

The timetable states that it is operated for SCC, with a few early morning and late evening journeys operated under contract to Heathrow Airport. Perhaps it is the airport contribution that is complicating matters. On the other hand I see the 557 is extended to Heathrow Central - I wonder if that's related to any changes to the 555.

Huge commiserations to Abellio surrey who have provided excellent service on all ten routes. Looks like they are now left with only the 40, 461(excluding evenings), 570, 571, 572 and 574. But however, congratulations to all the operators who has gained or retained routes especially Stagecoach who has recently lost quite a few routes in London. Although Stagecoach is not my favourite operator, at least we get to see more of a variety of buses and operators around surrey than before.

Bearing in mind Abellio Surrey quit a while host of routes mid-contract and then creamed a six figure payment to run them for a further 6 months, I wouldn't have thought there are too many tears at Surrey CC. Just rewards for refusing to honour contracts I would say.
