The Hounslow bus is a "shopping service" for the air crews staying at a Heathrow Hotel They run it to & from the Park Inn up Heathrow North. Although, you would of thought they'd of picked somewhere a bit more glamorous than Hounslow's Treaty Centre to let cabin crew do some shopping! There is also another service that goes to Kensington High Street.

"The LSP Bulletin is now issued on Mondays (Tuesdays where Monday is a public holiday) instead of Fridays." Quote from the first paragraph on page 3 of the bulletin.

Falcon Coaches will be moving their bus services into the former Abellio Surrey Byfleet depot. Or to put it another way, unless I'm mistaken, Tellings-Golden Miller are moving into the former Tellings-Golden Miller depot! It'd be nice if they brought back the old white / blue / yellow livery too while they're at it.

Translation ---> "We cocked this up and have some tiny relatively new buses going spare so we're going to inflict them on the X1". If the X1 really is very successful how are 16 seat minibuses with "continuous growth"? Don't worry, they will usually end up on other routes anyway judging by their track record on vehicle allocations. (AKA the mess that is the former Shires operation)

Finally, Hallmark has hired someone to manage their Twitter Account. Hopefully the start of a turnaround.

Hallmark have started applying new Hotel Hoppa logos on their e200’s, which is basically the same style and font as their Hallmark logo!

Travelled on the 17.10 departure of the 555 from Heathrow Central today (Thurs). There were about 6 other people, who all had a free ride in the Heathrow Freeflow zone. A few alighted and boarded in the Bath Road area, again free riders. At Hatton Cross, most people alighted (including me), and about 5 boarded all free riders to T4 (perhaps one fare payer - didn't quite see).
For an hourly service, at a 'peak hour' departure this didn't really look good (although obviously there isn't really a peak at Heathrow, with all the strange shift hours and flight times). Do bus operators get any money for accepting free travel in the Freeflow zone? Or is it something operators have to agree to in order to access Heathrow?
I didn't go to T4, but perhaps loadings are better there? I can imagine some regular users of the service possibly travelling from T5 and Central on the Express/Connect to pick up the 555 from T4, to save the long journey around the perimeter.

Ever since Oyster was introduced the route has been in decline. In the early 2000's the route was every 15 minutes, this went down to every 30 and subsequently when First and then Hallmark took over every hour. NW Surrey is like London, so it can't tolerate expensive bus fares, unlike the 32 or 460 which operate in wealthier parts and see good loading's for county council contracts. I think NW Surrey is definatly a bus area though (see the TFL routes) and could definatly do with either a bit of Reading Buses magic (as they are doing in Slough) and/or better cooperation with TFL (accepting Oyster Cards)

Ah, the days of 555/6/7 being important routes in the area. This route branding excercise, take a look at the old 555 blue livery for an example of what good branding looks like.
