There were at least two 700's on the Sevenoaks service today so it seems the end is close for the 319's?

Only 19 Class 319's left at Thameslink. That will go down to 17 as 319001 and 319006 are leaving tomorrow moving from Cauldwell to Long Marston.

319426/432 on the Sevenoaks to West Hampstead service at the moment but it seems to be all 700's otherwise.
Also another one on the Wimbledon loop.

For those who want to get a 319 on the last day in Thameslink service. I have found the diagrams for the final day of Class 319 operation on RAIL Magazine's Facebook. This will be Sunday August 27, none will be in use on Bank Holiday Monday. They are as follows:
BO801/802 5G29 09+32 Bedford CS to Bedford 2W29 09:50 Bedford to Three Bridges 2W36 12:24 Three Bridges to Bedford 1W43 15:06 Bedford to Brighton 1W46 18:14 Brighton to Bedford 5G47 21+09 Bedford to Bedford CS
BO803/804 5G19 07+05 Bedford CS to Bedford 2K19 07:16 Bedford to St Albans 2G08 08:10 St Albans to Bedford 1W19 09:06 Bedford to Brighton 1W22 10:22 Brighton to Bedford 2W51 15:20 Bedford to Three Bridges 2W58 17:55 Three Bridges to Bedford 5G58 20+14 Bedford to Bedford CS
Looks like the final Thameslink service operated by a 319 will be the 1W46!

Me and 725DYE just travelled on the last ever Thameslink Class 319 service operated by 319 435 and 319 217 from East Croydon to West Hampstead. Could not believe how busy it was and there were many normal passengers on there. But we met a fellow enthusiast (the YouTuber CHOO CHOO!! Plane) who sat opposite us and we had a brilliant conversation about the 319's. The train had a small headboard on the front and there was brilliant sounds from the traction motor and the driver gave us a MASSIVE blast of the horn when it left West Hampstead Thameslink. But it was a very sad moment, as a significant chapter of Thameslink's history came to a close, but a new dawn beckons with Thameslink becoming fully 700's. I will be making a video tonight and a full tribute video next week. Farewell Thameslink Class 319's! May 1987-August 27 2017 ðŸ˜

I do feel very sad about the 319s. If they could speak I'm sure they'd be very happy to be finished with Thameslink. Govia and First certainly didn't give them any TLC. I feel like if they had we could've seen them last a little longer in the city. These trains do have a good life ahead of them and at least that's some hope. But I will miss their lovely seats

Sad I am that they're gone, they really were something of a character, I remember getting one on the fasts all the way from St Albans to West Hampstead Thameslink and my oh my they scream! But hey ho at least London Midland still hold a small batch of them though I'm guessing they will be replaced by the next franchise holder, presumably a handful of services from Euston are operated with 319s?

But I will miss their lovely seats You can say that again. They don't make train seats like that any more. For my last ever 319 ride I managed to bag one of those plush first class seats (on a standard-only service) - what a luxury, compared with the ironing boards on the 700s

My video of the last ever Class 319 journey can be found here. Nice video - shame about the mewling baby in the background. Love the "Zubin productions" intro and theme tune. I haven't been on Thameslink for years but I'm afraid my memories aren't very favourable given the appalling state FCC kept their trains in. A long PM peak crawl from Burgess Hill to London on a 319 is one of the most tedious journeys I've ever been on - slow, dirty and dreadful seats. I guess I'm not yet too nostalgic for the old train motors noise as I still have 315s on my local route but obviously they're in their last 9 months of life on Overground. Even more oddly I have only seen 1 class 700 in the metal near Herne Hill and haven't been on one yet. I did see the mock up when it was at Excel and I wasn't impressed then and I know very little has changed since. People on some forums are also extremely critical of the 700s because they're so uncomfortable. Still Thameslink users are stuck with them for another 40 years.

Yeah, the 700s are pretty poor trains in my experience. Especially when you compare them to the far superior Class 345s. The seats are almost like benches and the interior isn't the best, however all this is down to opinion.
