On page 184 it also states Bus garage Anyone know the location or operator East London Bus Garage 0.0 0.9 -0.9 I think it might be West Ham garage and refers to a historic liability. See this Mayoral Decision. Note I am not 100% certain but this is the only reference I've seen to a bus garage in recent months.

Thanks for the link to the TfL Board paper. I noticed this snippet on page numbered 44 / PDF page 50: "King’s Cross Safety improvements at the junction of Duke’s Road with Euston Road are progressing well. By redirecting an out-of-service portion of bus route 18, we have found a way to provide controlled pedestrian crossings on both side roads at this busy junction. Subject to consultation and securing the necessary consents, the scheme is planned to start construction in late 2019. This is one of a number of phased improvements we plan to make in the King’s Cross area to make it safer and easier to walk or cycle." Does anyone know what this redirection of out-of-service bus route 18 is?

An interesting snippet from the Commissioner's Report about what TfL are seeking funding for from the Housing Infrastructure Fund.
What is interesting about these bids is that I'd expect two of them to be funded from developer contributions from adjacent developments - i.e. Surrey Canal Road and the Convoys Wharf related tweak at Canada Water. The ELL thing is clearly large scale as it's for signalling enhancements to allow ATO to operate on the ELL "core". The Surrey Quays thing is new to me.

Something I notice is that there's a third branding trial on the way. I wonder if that's the X26 one that was forgotten about. Although initially I was excited about this I dread to see what they cough up this time around. Also worth mentioning at least 7 Town Centres have been identified where TfL are going to reduce the capacity on some routes where there's spare capacity.

TfL still are into their lack of error checking: "Routes 201 and 607 – bus stop changes in Shepherd’s Bush" The 201 has clearly got some lengthy extension from Herne Hill since yesterday

What a load of drivel in the most part. The focus is completely and utterly wrong - all this obsessive nonsense about safety and environmental performance to the exclusion of actually making buses run more reliably, faster and without constant regulation. It's no wonder that "reliability" is good - the schedules are so lax that it's impossible for buses to run late. There is next to no recognition in that document that people need frequent and fast services as the absolute priority. Everything else comes second, third, fourth etc IMO. This whole strategy is wrong headed. Looks like cuts in Central London are continuing until bus services align to a grid pattern - this has been rumoured before but would seem to be official policy now. Apparently TfL are testing tri-axle vehicle s. Anyone know where the other ones are? Nice to see my prediction of Harrow being in line for cuts has proven correct. No upcoming consultation for the 357 but its death may be lurking in one of those future "town centre" consultations.

Page 33 mentions that by 2024 ALL buses will need the audible alarm thingy just like with the 98 trial!

Pray it's not permanently switched on.

No understanding of what's going on out there at all and success measured by completely the wrong metrics. This is a (badly) managed decline of London's buses.

Two other interesting things (and not both for the right reasons) is Merton is the latest borough to be infected with a 20mph borough wide scheme seeing as Richmond was already confirmed by snowman whilst Thamesmead is seemingly to get some bus rapid transit or something along the lines Is it me or does the 30 route Barnet consultation sound like a borough wide review rather than an area or certain routes review?
