Hi all. As you are aware I have moved on from HE. I have taken residence in the south coast so I will now be driving mainly E400 Scanias and ADL E300s.... And the odd dart...

Well the Scanias on the 700 were nice enough to ride on and the driver seemed very decent when I had a question about where to get off in Worthing when I used the route a few weeks ago. Weather was vile which caused the longest dwell time, in Brighton, that I've experienced in years. Everyone needing a ticket, handing over cash and more people deciding to go home meant a never ending queue of people. It was like going back in time.

It's certainly taking a lot of getting used to although it's not made any easier with an its more complicated than it needs to be ticket machine and fare system....as for the buses I'll take a Scania any time... The 300's I can't seem to get a smooth brake and stop with them... My GreenRoad score edges up when I've got one.... I've only managed 3 breakdowns so far and 2 were on the same day and all in E300s. And I've been told our Darts are leaving.... Being replaced by E200s.....

I live around the Stagecoach South East area, and the drivers like the Scania/E400s. They tend to prefer them to the standard E400s. I certainly do as well - a much more comfortable smoother ride. We also have E300s which give a much better ride than the crappy E200s - but the E300s are apparently disappearing from the fleet soon. Riding E200s down dual carriageways is not fun. The drivers at south east are largely friendly, and many have said they enjoy the job (but not the long hours).
Hope you enjoy your new post down south!

I've always said I bet the E400 Scania would be nice. It's a perfect combo of the two!! Just wish we had them 😂😂😂

Give a comfortable ride, has a great engine sound (although as its fairly quiet, its difficult to hear sometimes), and has a proper horn!

The MMC ones are also very nice The MMC Scanias in East Kent are quality - found on the Triangle and Breeze routes. They have coach seats, USB sockets (although the ones at the rear of the top deck are unlikely to still be there), and I prefer the MMC design to the older E400 model.

Especially driving through Barking 😁😁😁

I've had a good few uses of the horn driving around Brighton.... Great satisfaction seeing people jumping out the way
