I doubt there will be any pre 2006 bus(EuroIII) in London by around winter. It's weird to think that after the last few Plaxtons and ALX's won't be around very soon, and we will start to see numbers of Euro 4 Enviro 400 start to leave. Time has truly flown and I wish Stagecoach would do a farewell tour and put the last few ALX's on the 8 for example 33 buses still hanging on, I think this is complete list of pre 2007 buses still being used I think all the euroIII gained filters few years ago to make them equivalent to euroIV Abellio : 8020, 8024, 8037 Arriva : VLA 057, 128, 130, 131 Go Ahead : E 38, 39 Go Ahead : LDP 206, 274 Go Ahead : WVL 111, 189, 204, 205, 238, 239, 249, 250 Metroline : VP 534, 549, 614 RATP : SP 40001-40008 Stagecoach : 19000 Sullivan : TPL 926, 927 Not that many 2007 buses remaining either VP544 is still going at AC, and TE715 is still playing its part at EW as the last 56 reg TE with Metroline. VP614's last day will likely be tomorrow, as when the 140s changes occur on Saturday it will result in a overall PVR drop of 2, meaning that VP614 will be rendered surplus sadly. Hopefully this is preserved, it is the last of the ex HD 04 reg voith VPs to be about now. I believe the latest Ensign fleet movements stated some of the last ones that were stored at Metroline where towed away to scrap via Ensign.

Anyone else think tomorrow could be last day for some types, becoming quite obvious that a number of school routes will be stopped for time being, also appears that Saturday or Sunday timetables could be rolled out for a while, which requires fewer buses
From memory the euroVI upgrades were due to be completed in April, which means the older buses retained as cover won’t be needed much longer
Just wondering if this could effectively be demise of some remaining types, as in practice won’t be needed again, buses like Arriva VLAs, or RATPs early SPs
Anyone else got any views ?

Is the 698 receiving newer buses? My understanding (from about year ago) was that the 9 (now 8) remaining 2006 SPs were not being upgraded as wasn't cost effective to design system and certify for such a small number of 13.5 year old buses. Newer spare buses would thus replace them. Strictly they could continue until October, but unlikely whilst others are spare.
