So If I asked them if the 77A is running, they will probably respond saying Yes. My friend did exactly that, but with the T32. Sadly no response. Still thinking? That reminds me, a while back they told someone 9H is still running. In 2018 - wehn the route was withdrawn in 2014 🙈 When the 301 & 304 begin. "No, these routes do not exist" will be the response

When the 301 & 304 begin. "No, these routes do not exist" will be the response And again, when someone lost their Oyster card on the 483, they heard that it is "not a London bus route". We had to step in and give the poor fella Alperton's phone number.

When the 301 & 304 begin. "No, these routes do not exist" will be the response And again, when someone lost their Oyster card on the 483, they heard that it is "not a London bus route". We had to step in and give the poor fella Alperton's phone number. In the past they gave service disruption info for Hoe St, E17 and said the W11 was affected even though it had reverted to Palmerston Road. I may be wrong about this but my sense was that they were using TfL paper bus maps to see where buses run. Now that was when TfL were still updating the maps but only every 6-8 months so there was always a chance of errors when changes were not reflected on the map. I'd not be terribly shocked if the odd paper map was still in use hence the erroneous answers. Even if you use the online info it is all a bit of a mess. The 305 doesn't display as a valid route. If you select 303 it comes up as running between Edgware and Colindale on the initial list. There is a status alert explaining the changes and removal of the 305. However the Google route map shows the 303's old route BUT the stop list has all the stops from Edgware to Kingsbury. How the average person is supposed to work any of this out is beyond me. I'm afraid this throws up the fact that TfL still has not got its IT system to click over to reflect changes exactly when they happen. The problems "on the ground" are indicative of my long held view that TfL doesn't function properly during reorganisations and for up to a year or so afterwards. It takes that long for people to relearn how to do things when departmental names / responsibilities / personnel all change.

I live in Lyndhurst Avenue, served by the 303 until Friday, so have seen this chaos at first hand. The guy to change the bus stop tiles came round in his silver van late on Sunday evening, after 2 days of the new routeing. Very bizarrely, he removed 303 from the stop ‘to Colindale’ but NOT the very opposite stop on the road ‘to Edgware’, which obviously should’ve happened. Why, I have no idea. In fact, the stop sign ‘to Colindale’ doesn’t make any sense either anymore since it is only served by 302 into Mill Hill Broadway, but that is still there (I know School 642 goes to Colindale). I have had to help 2 groups of people and redirect them. Most Deansbrook Road stops have the same problem (e.g. still showing 303 or ‘to Edgware’). I’ve taken a couple of rides on the new route and both times had alarmed passengers with ‘this is going the wrong way!’ type exclamations (e.g. trying to get to Deansbrook but ending up in Hale Lane). And they weren’t happy with the new line of route at all when I endeavoured to explain. Also obviously there are the two diversions, one of which takes the route off its pre-existing line, so all rather confusing and messy and not well implemented. Hey-ho.
(On a nicer note I did take some final day photos of 303 passing my front garden and had drivers smiling, waving and hooting at me).

I live slightly further up Deansbrook and have noticed the same issue, I observed all three of the stops past Lyndhurst Avenue (Grange Road, Edwin Road and Deans Lane) going towards Edgware still had 303 on it, I've also noticed a few people waiting for the 303 despite the fact its never going to turn up... Well done tfl, good job on turning more people away from the buses

A week on and the 303 tiles are still incorrectly in place. And, to no-ones surprise, hardly any passengers on 303s along Hale Lane.

Last few 303s I've seen (In rush hour too) have had no more then 2-3 people on them... I knew this would be a total failure from the start, so can't say I'm completely surprised.

TfL will be rubbing their hands as this gives them grounds to withdraw it altogether!

Another week on and the incorrect tiles are still in place. Funnily enough they have made significant changes on some of the stops along Hale Lane, which now say 'To Mill Hill East or Colindale' so it has obviously been a big effort and yet they couldn't get the basics right.
As was predicatable the 303 still has Grahame Park to/from Mill Hill passengers but still very little along Hale Lane AFAICS.

Just by way of update for those that like the details, the incorrect tiles have now finally been removed. I've still encountered a few bewildered passengers though and not yet any traction along Hale Lane that I have seen. I also encountered someone at Burnt Oak tube who wanted a bus to Deans Lane and I had to explain that there isn't one anymore (after about 80-90 years).

Had a bad 303 driver today, almost missed Colindale station bus stop and completely missed my stop. Told me this new route and need to patient with this!
Is this a joke for bus company putting driver on new route without any route training?

Is this a joke for bus company putting driver on new route without any route training? In a lot of companies these days they expect the driver to learn the routes themselves. Albert they do pay you for it but you're supposed to do it in your own time.
