Had a bad 303 driver today, almost missed Colindale station bus stop and completely missed my stop. Told me this new route and need to patient with this! Is this a joke for bus company putting driver on new route without any route training? In a lot of companies these days they expect the driver to learn the routes themselves. Albert they do pay you for it but you're supposed to do it in your own time. Well, I know this driver is new to 303, maybe not seeing my stop sign post/road marking but still no excuse for nearly missing the bus stop at Colindale station, also the driver driving is not steady at all and entering roundabout twice when traffic coming from the right. Btw, finally can see more people using 303 now.

Ho Ho the Dismore strikes again about the recent changes in Colindale. Here are his questions to the Mayor.
And even UKIP AMs are on the case but this time about the 305.

I think the only possible hope now is to divert the 240 via Deansbrook Road and Edgware High Street and/or divert the 114 via Hale Lane - either The Hale or Hale Drive - Dean's Lane - Orange Hill Road, to restore the broken links. They just aren't going to make a new route or recreate an old one. I also tried walking that bit of Grahame Park Way between the RAF Museum and Barnet College (old site), and it's really scary when the pavement just stops and you have to keep crossing back and forth - definitely needs more bus stops along there and at least some island pedestrian refuges. I wish Mr Dismore would also ask a question about the 384 consultation too, as it seems that once a decision has been made it's rather too late to reverse things.

I highly doubt the 114 would be able to operate via Hale Drive as it's a tight road with parking on both sides. I do like your 240 idea though, it is a nice route but could be more purposeful around the MHB-EW area.

Here’s a slight update to the 125 Extension. And yet the 303 is still on two "temporary" diversions... I think they should sort that out first before moving on to extending the 125.

True on further expectation today going down Greyhound Hill the bus stop markings have been put down. What bus stop markings along this ‘diversion’ or along where the 303 is meant to go? The cynics could probably infer that it was covered as a diversion and quietly dropped so that it didn’t have to be consulted on... Could someone do (or has someone done) an FOI request to TfL asking when this diversion could finish?

Could someone do (or has someone done) an FOI request to TfL asking when this diversion could finish? I tweeted the TfL Bus Alerts page a few weeks back asking that very question, and they said they had no updated information. The bus stop markings along Stag Lane (between Capitol Way and Princes Avenue) have been down for a while already, but still no sign of any plans to move the pair of bus stops. The works on the bus gate at Capitol Way have been fully completed for a number of months, with it already being utilised by routes 114 and 302 whilst on diversion in February. All that's left to do I assume is retrain the drivers. In Corner Mead, the parking restrictions have been amended already as far as I know, so buses should be able to get around there with no issues at all. I don't know why this diversion hasn't been lifted yet, again it may just be to do with driver retraining, though this certainly shouldn't be taking as long as it is. Many passengers have been isolated in the Grahame Park area by this diversion, with the lack of provision of temporary stops being quite appalling on TfL's part. Delivering what was proposed and agreed in the consultation for route 303 should be more of a priority than extending the 125, though this clearly isn't the case.

I wouldn't agree personally - the 125 has not been affected by not being extended but the 303 has severely been affected by having two diversions put in which has left people with a worse service than they had before the changes.

I guess I can say I've adapted to the changes now, relying on getting a 32/142/292 to Burnt Oak Broadway and doing a short walk and changing for the 302 or getting a 204 to Burnt Oak Station and directly swapping for the 302, or using the 251 to get to Watling Avenue and then walk, which I tend to avoid as I'm not too fond of the 251 with its horrid DEs and packed loads it carries so will tend to opt for the 204 if one turns up, even if a 251 is there. I can also use the 186 to get to Mill Hill Broadway (Peak hours is not a good idea for this as traffic between Apex Corner and Mill Hill Circus can be atrocious), the 221/240 also make good options for getting to Mill Hill Broadway and walking or getting the 302 to Deansbrook. But even thought there is plenty of ways to get home, it is still infuriating, as the 303 has served me well for many years and now it generally means doing unnecessary swaps or doing unnecessary walks. I have definitely noticed the 303s patronage has gone down, in peak times it could have full loads coming out of Edgware, now your lucky if it reaches half full.

It is also worth saying that Barnet Council are fanatically in favour of the 125 extension because it will serve their Council offices at Colindale. This was in an official response to the consultation. It's therefore no great shock that they might be making the effort to accommodate the 125 extension. I suspect they don't give much of a toss about the revised 303 (even acknowledging that the highway works have been done although I think the bus gate issue was actually a Brent council thing).

The bus gate was Brent Council and the parking restrictions were Barnet. They've done them. It's TfL we're waiting on. Barnet priotitised the 303.
