Vantage hybrid VLA99 & VLA100 both now withdrawn - I'd see that Arriva had given up on them after all those reliability issues. Wouldn't be surprised if WVL94/95 are too withdrawn, leaving VLP45253/45254 of which 45253 has been missing since March and 45254 since 09/07, after actually seeing a fairly solid month of service. Bit of a shame this didn't work out really.

Bit of a shame this didn't work out really. Probably away receiving work for the foreseeable. With the amounts being spent on them, coupled up with the money lost at the expense of either TfL or the respective operators, I would imagine somewhere in those contracts to fit the vehicles, there is a clause, allowing for extra work to be done should needs be at Vantage’s expense. When I drove VLA100 it was a good ride looking past the minor errors.

When I drove VLA100 it was a good ride looking past the minor errors. Yes *but* Vantage will not have signed up to an open ended financial commitment. It will have been capped. Let's be honest here - their system just does not work well enough to provide reliable vehicles for London service. The fact that TfL, or anyone else, have not gone for hybrid retrofits on old vehicles in a big way shows that no one else is convinced either. Just have to hope that whatever has been fitted to TA1 works or else that will be a monumental embarrassment for everyone. Makes me wonder just how much money Vantage (and their funders) have lost on their so called "wonder idea". I will admit to not being convinced having been on VLA99 when it conked out on the A406 and the driver had to valiantly coast the bus into a stop - thank goodness it was downhill! I'm sorry but buses should not do that to a driver (nor the poor passengers).

Ah thats a shame, it actually managed a full month of nearly everyday service (Missing a few days here and there though) an achievement for the vantage hybrids

WVL75/96/102 have all been missing for nearly a week or more, could these have finally been withdrawn?
I also notice that since introduction of the smart hybrids at SLN, 17923/17924/17927-17933/18212/18257-18265 all seem to now be out of action, so looks like these have probably been withdrawn, although its not surprising the 04 regs are leaving, as IIRC these are leased.
18485-18487/18493/18495 all seem to have also been missing for just under a week, so probably withdrawn.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the them are stored in the meantime especially 184xx batch as ex TB ones were stored for 3 months earlier this year between the loss of the 269 and gain of the 474. Anyway let see next Stagecoach fleetlist put those Tridents as on the fleetlist.

Should be lots of withdrawals next month, here's a summary of what is likely to be withdrawn: 1st September: VP612-628 (Following H12 Loss) DWL56/79-82/85/89/92/93/96/97, PDL119/152, VLA2/15/103/116, VLW95, ENL11-17 (Following loss of GR Routes and GR Closure) TPL926/927/ELV5/ELV6 (Following 626 contract retention with 4 ex TT E400s) Remaining DPS at SO (Following H14 DD Conversion) 561-567 (Following 293 loss) 15th September: 958-973 (Following D8 Loss) 29th September: 142/DMN7-9/11-13/16-18, LDP264, SEN38, 231/232 (Following 193 loss) OS20255 (Following 404s retention with new E200MMC) Some TE7xx & TE8xx E400s could also get withdrawn from the 186 going from EW>HD, and some ENL2x's could get withdrawn at TC if the remaining 11 regs at GR head straight over to TC, plenty of Tridents could also get withdrawn next month if more E400SHs enter service too. If the E200MMC Electrics also enter service on time, it could see a lot of DPS getting withdrawn too. Its a shame to see a lot of this older stock disappearing, Metroline will be down to very few Presidents, Arriva will be down to just one route with VLAs (The 128), the last Marshall darts in London will go (Other then DMN1 at NP), likewise with the Cadets, and last 2 TPLs in London service should go

According to the latest Stagecoach Fleet List that 17749, 17900, 17977, 17980, 18485 and 18493 are all now withdrawn with 17749, 17900 and 17980 in process of being scrapped.
Edit: Also 17923, 17924, 17927-33 & 18257-65 have all gone back to their leasing companies.

They will likely be Metrolines only remaining presidents, as I can't see the VP6xx from the H12 staying around, and the 5 VPs at AC probably won't last much longer
