Twice this week I've seen an LT with bright white LED lights advertising New Look on the body side. I saw it at Tottenham Court Road on Weds Night and Wanstead on Fri Night. Either on N8 or N55. A trial for future digital advertising on TfL buses? --- Chris Date | CMPDTwitter: twitter.com/cmpd_date

A trial for future digital advertising on TfL buses? It's a start, it will save on changing the ad boards on the buses...

It happens annually - about a year or two ago there was a VH on the 13 and few Putney Weevils with "light" advert like this…

Some WHV’s are advertised for ‘Google Pixel’. They have a screen on the side of the bus that is LED WHV119 is one I see more Google Pixel 2 buses on the 14 and 19 compared to red buses these days Although it is nice to see them using an LED screen. One thing I did always wonder is why not replace the whole advert space with a massive LCD panel ignoring cost as that's probably what's stopping it from happening it would allow for a variety of ads to be shown on buses relevant to the area the bus passes through. For example you wouldn't want to be advertising a school in Tottenham in Battersea on route 19. If an LCD panel was used the advert could change depending on the local demographic. Maybe it could also be programmed to display things like tube statuses or route disruptions.
