Given how much coffee drivers get through one could be forgiven for thinking the industry already runs on coffee!

When I read the article I wasn't exactly bowled over by the scale of the production effort. Enough fuel to power *one* bus for a year. It's not exactly going to have a big impact in a network with circa 9,000 buses in service. One of those instances where the hype rather exceeds the reality.

I heard something about this on the radio earlier, the long term objective is to power about a third of the TfL network this way as this link alludes to www.engadget.com/2017/11/20/london-buses-coffee-biofuel/

Have the people that thought of this idea been sitting in the back of the mystery van with Scooby and Shaggy?

Was I the only person that thought someone had converted a bus into a coffee shop?

Given how much coffee drivers get through one could be forgiven for thinking the industry already runs on coffee! Now we know why there are so many Pret-a-Mangers in central London. Maybe it is time for the bus industry to wake up and smell the coffee.

I get so annoyed when they stick shops in that are similar to what we already have - there a number of cafes in Brixton (I recommend Express Café inside Brixton Village down by the market) as well as a Costa & Starbucks.

I might bear in mind Express Cafe in Brixton next time I'm in the area. I was not pleased in 2015 when Caffe Nero in the department store were only making coffee with skimmed milk. i therefore passed up the idea of having coffee there on that occasion. I would never associate the favoured coffee chain I mentioned with Costa or Starbucks though.
