I am aware of more cuts. West Kent Buses ( based in West Kingsdown) is closing down its operations around same time. I know i am not member of Kent bus club. But Have you heard any more news on bus service in kent. Please let us know. Go-Coach say it not know whose operator will take over or what on sunday bus 401. Will do. I only know about the above because the schools concerned are trying to cover the withdrawn services , with no luck so far. Not sure what’s happening to the Sunday services. Can’t imagine Arriva are going to run them. |

West Kent Buses are closing down due to the retirement of the owner, and I believe they operated their 4 routes commercially, so not really to do with KCC bus cuts. Their routes will be covered by Arriva and 1st Bus StopShame to see them go though as they have an interesting fleet or livery - not that I've ever been on their buses as they only operate school routes.
I'm told that contracts are still in the process of being awarded for September, so the public won't know about this until all of that is formalised.
I doubt the Sunday services would be cut without 'consultation', but we shall wait and see!
