Looks quite decent in all honesty - shame that it’s almost certain London will get none.

looks like a brick on wheels. I don't think the all over dark grey does it any favours

Not too many TfL routes suitable for 12m single deckers.

Looks ok Looks more of an inter-urban bus than a city bus to me, not likely to see any in London

If the Evora was offered with a lightweight Cummins option, I could see then see it having potential within the London bus market.

Looks more of an inter-urban bus than a city bus to me, not likely to see any in London Exactly - especially when it is offered on the Volvo B8RLE chassis of which there are precisely zero in TfL service and very few in neighbouring counties. About the only route it would be reasonably viable [1] on in London is the 465 but it will be too heavy and thirsty for TfL work. [1] in terms of seated capacity, fewer stops and having faster roads to run on.

The Volvo B8RLE is a 7.7 litre 280bhp engine (or 350bhp on biodiesel), this is great for linking urban centres along hilly A roads, but not the best combination on city streets. Volvo B8RLE specs linkCant really think of anywhere it would be suitable in London area, maybe something like Heathrow-Reading Interestingly Lothian subsidiary East Coast buses have this chassis (in long 13.2m versions) with Wrightbus bodies, For those who think in old money it is 43.5 feet (compare that to RT at 26 feet, or RM at 27.5 feet)

It seems they are for the 610, and will therefore enter London. The article says that they have Evolution rather than Evora bodywork, although that might be a mistake - the drawings look like the new design.

Yay, means one will not need to go far to sample them. I don't think I've yet ridden a B8RLE. What will happen to 610's Mercs??
