A man has been arrested after his car crashed into a bus in Charlton earlier this morning, leading to two people being taken to hospital. Police were called to the incident in The Village, near Fairfield Grove, at 1.45am to reports of the collision (May 7). Two people were hospitalised, one with a back injury, while two others were assessed by the London Ambulance Service who also attended. A Met Police spokesman said none of the injuries sustained were thought to be life-threatening or life-changing. The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and currently remains in police custody. A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews and an incident response officer, with the first of our medics arriving in under nine minutes. “We treated four people for injuries at the scene and took two of the patients to hospital.” www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/16209526.Man_arrested_after_car_crashes_into_bus_in_Charlton/
