Irrelevant to the public, as it is to the argument for axeing the C2. What could, maybe should, have been mentioned somewhere in the report is that taking away the extension to Victoria destroyed a lot of the value of the route together with a lot of patronage, including at offpeak times. A complete TfL own goal! One bit of trivia arising though is that route 88 will link Parliament Hill Fields with Parliament. I wonder if some 88 punters who are not too familiar with Parliament Hill Fields may confuse the destination with Parliament Square lol

One bit of trivia arising though is that route 88 will link Parliament Hill Fields with Parliament. From a nostalgic point of view, it’s nice the have the former 3/53 link revived Every cloud has a silver lining. When RT type buses worked the routes their slipboards carried the legend 'To and from The Zoo', which stretched the truth a bit! A visit to The Zoo for me as a kid was Southern Electric to Charing Cross, stop at Joe Lyons's Corner House for a cream doughnut and Pepsi Cola (an annual treat) and a ride on the 3 or 53 (usually the latter, as they were more prolific.) Given this weekend is the true 40th anniversary of the final RTs, a true nostalgiafest.

Sounds more like the sort of thing some dim witted remoaner would do, I mean clearly they can't grasp the fact that the referendum result does indeed mean............leave!! Anyway back to topic, a lot of people in South London would probably have no idea where Parliament Hill Fields is just like Newington Green on the 21 which could be confused with Newington Butts.

Oh the new 88 would have been so perfect if I was still living in Highgate.

I must admit I didn't really know where it was until the 53 was extended there. Then again, I was at junior school! I had some rather nice visits there during the 53's brief reign - splendid views over Central London.

I didn't either when I first heard about the C2 and Parliament Hill Fields.

Bus stops in the Great Portland Street area still mention route C2 on the e-plates. There is no C2 timetable, and the 88 timetable is up to date.

But out of interest are you suggesting a double run to Brent Cross?

What other Routes that would you like to see merge I would like to know I like to see the 142 and 32 merge it make new and a nice ride and at make the 642 into a day route extend to Brent Cross The 142 used to run Watford to Kilburn Park in pre- Brent Cross days, then the 32 replaced it over Edgware to Kilburn Park. For a time the 142 mostly worked in two sections Monday to Friday, splitting at Edgware.
