Could work on lower frequency routes where you don't need lots of lines of display and where wait times info is important. Not so sure about busier stops with mutiple routes.
Looks like TfL benefited from Maplin's collapse looks like the electronic bric a brac that was popular in their stores along with drones and mixing decks for DJ's I feel sorry for the Incident Response teams who have to go round fitting CR2032 watch batteries in every bus stop flag now
I can see it helping on bus stops with no Countdown displays, but want to know if it is backlit for night time or illegible in bright sunlight. Hopefully TfL's electronics innovation phase will be more popular than the branding phase was?
