Here is an American article about the redesign of Seoul's bus network in 2004. Clearly the circumstances were rather different to those in London. What is interesting is to note the things that TfL are very unlikely to do in their upcoming redesign and simplification exercises because of a lack of money and no control over borough roads. By this I mean the very extensive bus priority system, "posh" bus shelters, co-ordinated and comprehensive publicity and information and structured network design with express buses, stopping services and "last mile" routes in outer areas. London doesn't have that form of hierarchical service structure and I'd argue is very unlikely to adopt such a structure.
