Routes 292 and 293 are the only pair of successive TfL route numbers to both leave Greater London and both have the same parent operator. Although 464/465 both leave the boundary, they are of course operated by two different operators. There’s the 216 and 217 as well

There’s the 216 and 217 as well You've got the 403, 404, 405, 406 & 407 which all enter Surrey A good observation about all 5 routes. Mind you, even among these no consecutive routes currently have the same operator.

No official factual answer to this but which 10s group of routes (ie the 110s [110-119], the 230s [230-239], the 370s etc you get the idea) covers the most area of London/is the most spread out? Pretty sure it must be the 290s. 290 - goes right to the western end of the M25 291 - covers south east london 292 - gets very close to the M25 in the Northwest (Borehamwood) 293 - gets very close to the M25 in the Southwest (Epsom) 294 - gets extremely close to the M25 in the East (Noak Hill) 295 - covers inner west London 296 - covers far east London also 297 - covers west and Northwest London 298 - actually crosses the M25 into Hertfordshire 299 - again gets very close to the northern end of the M25 (Cockfosters) I bring this up as theres a lot of talk about consecutive numbered routes running together (ie 173, 174, 175 all running along one road, 253/254 being very closely intertwined etc) so which consecutive routes are the least related and have nothing to do with each other despite being numbered consecutively? Im sure its these ones. You can go nearly everywhere in London and not be far away from a 29* route. Would like to know any other group of 10 that beats these but personally I dont think there are
