H28 Bulls Bridge Tesco to Osterley Tesco (same idea) H9, H10, H18, H19 Harrow Bus Station to Harrow Bus Station 🙂(blinded for plain old “Harrow”) It amused me to board an H10 at South Harrow for my journey to North Harrow, seeing it heading for Harrow and being aware that it wasn't exactly a direct routeing.

Which routes have the name of a place in their destination twice (one at each end) Example 153 - Moorgate, Finsbury Square and Finsbury Park Station Route 346: Upminster Station to Upminster Park Estate <iframe width="24.200000000000045" height="5.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 24.200000000000045px; height: 5.480000000000018px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_29705111" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.200000000000045" height="5.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 24.2px; height: 5.48px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1149px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_23455718" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.200000000000045" height="5.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 24.2px; height: 5.48px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 212px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_56182177" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.200000000000045" height="5.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 24.2px; height: 5.48px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1149px; top: 212px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_2862137" scrolling="no"></iframe> Route 379 from Chingford Station to Chingford Yardley Lane Estate. As it is short and duplicates routes 215 & 313 it would be a less unfavourable withdrawal than some other routes.

250 and 109: both Brixton to Croydon town centre N38 and N73: Victoria to Walthamstow Central A very close ones is: 35 and 344 (Clapham junction to Shoreditch / Liverpool Street) I don't know if you know but the 73 and N73 were recently curtailed to Oxford Circus. This means that that the N73 and N38 only share one terminus. The other two are correct though Yes, sorry, not sure why I still had in mind that the N73 went to Victoria ... have edited it suitably now

Route 346: Upminster Station to Upminster Park Estate Route 379 from Chingford Station to Chingford Yardley Lane Estate. As it is short and duplicates routes 215 & 313 it would be a less unfavourable withdrawal than some other routes. Your forgetting that the purpose of the 379 is to link the Yardley Lane Estate and the residential area east of Chingford with the shops & station at Chingford itself. Just because it follows the other two routes for a short distance does not warrant it to be withdrawn.

How about nominating song titles (possibly subtly amended) to express the soul of a bus route?
I'll start with 72 - Troubled Bridge Over Water, and, sticking with Simon & Garfunkel, 507/521 - Sound of Silence
Over to you.

Route 13 could borrow the title from Lene Lovich's debut hit Lucky Number. Route 108 could use the title of a Funboy Three hit Tunnel of Love. Route 303 could celebrate Talking Heads' song Road to Nowhere.

Rather than disappearing, it got plopped onto the 82

The 249 could be added aswell I believe Yes, the 249, 322 and 417 hold the record, jointly. Interesting combination of numbers too. Would be good if one garage could operate all three at the same time. Norwood would be the most obvious. Doesn't the 249 go to Anerley though?

X26 - Long Long Way to Go by Phil Collins An alternative to your 507/521 and any electric route - Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode 327, H2, H3, H9/H10, H18/H19, R5/R10 - Round and Round by Spandau Ballet 48 - Dodo by Genesis

- 132 & 422 between North Greenwich & Bexleyheath Shopping Centre. - 99 & 301 (when it starts) between Woolwich & Bexleyheath Shopping Centre. - 33 & 267 between Hammersmith and Fulwell. - 639 & 670 between Roehampton & St John Bosco College. - 692 & 699 between Winchmore Hill & Dame Alice Owen’s School. - N5 & N113 between Edgware & Trafalgar Square. 692 has sensibly been cut back to Southgate now, with both pm 699s running to Winchmore Hill instead.

Another Byrds classic Eight Miles High, the one with the greatest guitar intro ever imo, for Bow's finest. Once TfL have finished with the 25 - A Whiter Shade of Pale (imitation of a once-great route). Keep 'em coming.

The song for any route entering Zone 1 should be 'All Stood Still' by Ultravox.

11: On the Buses theme tune
(with Stan and Jack's antics on the 11 to the cemetery gates)
71: We're Going to the Zoo -
(although as a kid I will always remember the song more with the 65 and Sunday 152 when the attraction was then simply named as Chessington Zoo)
