Found this on Abellio bus YX13EHE, is he crazy or what? Gonna test it for some chemicals, I think he’s trying to poison us...

Not sure I get the term crazy, more like a driver trying to have a bit of fun. I once had a 19 driver who had built a mini easter nest on the ETM with chicks and everything! Once in Germany a driver just handed me an ice cream sandwich (probably bought one of those 6 packs and didn't know what to do with them!)

I flew out to Singapore on the 31st and the BA cabin crew were in Hallowe'en fancy dress. Don't think they were crazy, as said it's a bit of fun. I don't subscribe to Hallowe'en myself but don't see what harm it does.
Verdict: Abellio / driver are not crazy.

If you fly with BA on Xmas Eve (as I've done several times) the crew are usually adorned with tinsel and party hats once the flight is underway. As I'm a grumpy Xmas hating git I think this is a bit tedious but others will obviously love it. They also *always* cancel the one thing on the menu I actually fancy eating and replace it with Xmas dinner. Ugh. I did once get a rather good Xmas pudding as a gift from the hotel I was staying in in Singapore. All the guests got one. Completely unexpected given the temperature is usually 30+ in SG so not quite the weather for it. I trust you are enjoying the MRT and the buses along with sunshine and thunderstorms.

It was interesting - I stayed at Marina Bay Sands for a night then the rest of the time there at the Intercontinental down in Bugis. I had the privilege of meeting with one of the transport operators and got a guided tour of a bus interchange. I was thoroughly impressed at how it was run and the efforts made to provide outstanding customer service. It's remarkable what can be achieved in a society where people are well behaved. I also visited their driver training centre, which was a marvel with copious simulators. Didn't get to ride many buses over the four days. More use was made of the very cheap Grab service and the metro. I did ride a couple of triaxle B9s and an obligatory late night ride on a Citato from Clarke Quay to Bedok. No kickdown but the driver was flooring it once out of town and took the corners so fast I thought he was going to tip it over! Clearly in last trip driving mode. I've moved onto Penang, Malaysia now but will go to Hong Kong next week then back to London via Singapore for a day - the detour being to experience something like what this chap did, but on an A380. I'll try and get some time on the buses in that day though. Fortunately I was under cover during the worst of the thunderstorms. No sunshine so to speak but very warm and humid. Mercifully the buses are all air conditioned!

Singapore is really good and well behaved, I just flew into London from Beijing via Hong Kong and staying in the uk for a week, to be honest I miss China so much even though I’m a I’m citizen, peoples behavior here is something to be desired, anyway from Hong Kong to downtown don’t use the train so expensive and unnecessary, use bus A20 or A21, amazing views but the kick down has now gone so the journey a bit slower but still good, cost for the bus 33hkd with octopus card train 115hkd
