Our food is not yet at the junk status (pun intended) of US processed or intensive farming, and I think EU law will prevent that (we are heading for BRINO / Brexit In Name Only if anything), plus the more multicultural nature of foods in London will see a variety of different meals. Sadly in poor areas the chicken shop is king - these don't advertise but people know where these shops are. I think some of the firms that do advertise have more social responsibility and have changed their meals to be a little bit more healthy - such as McDonalds doing salads etc. These firms do use other channels as quoted above so this empty gesture from Sadiq would be as a red light to a cyclist and largely ignored. No doubt he's appointed someone to this role (salary undisclosed ) he will be tearing down the famous Coca Cola ad in Piccadilly next... still, a deflection off the Crossrail saga, spiralling knife crime, tumbling bus passenger numbers, chronic congestion or other more pressing issues Last night I had a dream of the next mayoral election, Sadia Khan had lost to the Ken Livingstone. It was so unreal, pity it wasn't true. Dream? Sounds like a hellish nightmare to me, a classic case of jumping out of the frying pan into the fire!

Quite funny how many of TfLs own adverts had to be changed to meet the ban Link

Here in Liverpool Stagecoach have just put onto the road some doubledeckers with an overall advertising livery that is basically a white background with big black letters on the nearside wrapping round to the back spelling WHOPPER, and then finished off with the image of a massive burger on the nearside. Several of them are to be seen on the 86 Liverpool One to Liverpool South Parkway. So far from having a junk food ban we have real in your face junk food adverts. Sorry I have not got a picture to post but the buses look hideous anyway.

Sorry I have not got a picture to post but the buses look hideous anyway. Please don't post a picture of the food as TfL may intervene and shut down the Forum Sadiq Khan is an odd duck. Hardline on things that don't matter such as junk food (he could make an effort to make sure buses are cleaner, I went on DW417 on the 123 yesterday which was like a mobile landfill ) but serious things like spiralling knife crime he just ignores. He declared a "Climate Emergency" to satisfy those XR protesters last week... TfL realized their intended ULEZ may not bring in the money they hoped for as 70% of the vehicles are Euro6 compliant anyway... except the black cabs who he caved into and waived the fee Each Mayor seems to set out to see what mark they can leave behind, except for Sadiq it's more of a stain...
