Dear all,
When I’m travelling around Romford on the Stagecoach Scania OmniCities in particular, when one driver from RM passes another there’s a (obviously intentional) mechanical whistle greeting. It’s almost like a two-pitched tone and passengers always look up when they hear it. What is this mechanism and is it fitted only on the said models?
Kind regards,
Speedbird.

The emergency alarm some buses have is operated by a switch that can be flicked on and off with a finger, leaving it more prone to being played with by drivers than other designs.

Thanks for the answer The Urbanite, makes sense since it is very high-pitched.

The assault alarms with a cut off switch on the dash such as darts you can wedge a piece of paper behind it so all you have to do is keep pressing the actual assault alarm button for lots of beeps.
