The 80 used to be “Belmont Prisons” but now is “Belmont, Highdown & Downview” Are they prisons? They sound more like holiday camp chalets. Mind you...

I'm I the only one who thinks Tfl should bring back these actually descriptive blinds instead of the usual Vague destinations I know there are a few route which still have them I.e W19 , but the majority just have "could be anywhere" blinds like the Croydon ones but I find they were more accurate before .

Bellingham, Catford Bus Garage. I've often wondered why that was suddenly considered necessary when Catford Garage sufficed virtually since horse bus days. Bromley Garage, on the other hand, is so far from that town centre I always felt it needed more detail. After all, TC may equal Croydon but it was always South Croydon Garage on blinds!

No, I think they should return as well - these vague blinds can lead theoretically to a bus dumping it's passengers in a wide area. For example, Brixton is much bigger than just the town centre - southwards, it stretches roughly as far as Brixton Water Lane before people start referring to it as Brixton Hill & Tulse Hill whilst northwards, it goes much further and near enough reaches Kennington Park - the western part of Vassall Road is classed as Brixton. Westwards, it's nearly as far as Bedford Road though there is some overlap with Clapham and eastwards, as far as Barrington Road though again some overlap with Loughborough Junction. Now I'm not saying contain blinds for every stop as that's ludicrous but they should be as accurate as the space of the blind can reasonably handle

I think it's the same as Brixton Garage as Brixton isn't in Brixton which is why Streatham Hill, Telford Avenue has long been the blind. In regards to Catford Bus Garage, you would expect it to be in Catford when in fact it isn't at all and is in Bellingham - presumably, they had people getting off only to realise it's not actually Catford?

Just seen Woolwich Market as a destination on a 51. It's become quite a common turn since Go Ahead took the route over. <iframe width="24.039999999999964" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 24.039999999999964px; height: 5.159999999999997px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_23302390" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.039999999999964" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 24.04px; height: 5.16px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1141px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_39396568" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.039999999999964" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 24.04px; height: 5.16px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 196px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_50169406" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.039999999999964" height="5.159999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 24.04px; height: 5.16px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1141px; top: 196px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_94173086" scrolling="no"></iframe> It's the final destination.

Nope, it's not. Woolwich Covered Market, similar to what GMT said, is a curtailment that's been reinstated since GAL took over (was last used when London Central ran the route). Route 51's tender specs state "WOOLWICH COVERED MARKET (from ORPINGTON STATION) Buses proceed from Burrage Road via Plumstead Road and Woolwich New Road departing to Vincent Road. Set down in Burrage Road, at stop D (36822 - Burrage Road, Last Stop on LOR: 36822 - Burrage Road) and pick up in Vincent Road, at stop G (35563 - Vincent Road / Woolwich Arsenal Station, First Stop on LOR: 35563 - Vincent Road / Woolwich Arsenal Station)."

It doesn't show COVERED.
The 54 just shows Woolwich for this location.
Woolwich Market is the next stop.
Having said that Go Ahead are a law unto themselves with regards to turning buses in Woolwich.

Don't see anything wrong with getting a turn in Woolwich? Just like any other curtailment. The wrong part is when the first 4 stops on a route (386 in this case) are left without a bus for the best part of an hour despite buses appearing and disappearing on LVF.
