I would also include the 108 - pretty unique route
The 397 is also quite good with some tight turns and the long haul and ride section
Haven’t ridden it yet but the 465 should be very scenic

As a kid I used to love riding the 'old' route 82 to Heathrow How about the old A1 from Hounslow West to Heathrow? Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of that route

Just a coincidence that I was reading a blog post called "London's 10 Best Bus Routes", where 3 single deck routes were on the list, namely 100, D3 & RV1.
My personal choice may be an odd one - 521. Whilst it may be crowded and slow on weekdays, I found it quite enjoyable riding on a Saturday afternoon, esp. when turning into the business districts which gain a bit of silence after a long week.

Must have changed as the 521 is now weekday only.

Don't know why I remember I rode on a 521 bendy once 10 years ago (I still lived in the Midland back then)...probably I'm wrong but it's something like 5pm and the streets were rather quiet along the way from Holborn to London Bridge. Overall think it's quite a nice route to ride on.

Went from North Greenwich to Bow Church it's a great route and going through Blackwall tunnel was interesting.

Overall think it's quite a nice route to ride on. 507 and 521 were both Mon-Fri only when they were bendy operated. 507 gained a weekend service upon conversion to rigid buses, but as others have said, the 521 has never had a weekend service.
