123 has a fast section on the A406 from Waterworks Corner to Gants Hill, the fastest part of that section being between Waterworks Corner and Charlie Brown's Roundabout

123 has a fast section on the A406 from Waterworks Corner to Gants Hill, the fastest part of that section being between Waterworks Corner and Charlie Brown's Roundabout Err only if you are *extremely* lucky and there is no one waiting at High Road South Woodford, Mulberry Way, Maybank Road, Charlie Browns Roundabout and Chigwell Road stops. I can't recall a daytime journey where we didn't get stopped at one of those stops. Perhaps it happens in the evenings? It's not an official express section with no stops or with very long gaps between stops. And today it was taking a *very* long time to do that section westbound as there was yet another crash in the Billet roundabout underpass causing enormous jams and congestion in Walthamstow as traffic was diverted off the A406. Many bus services just fell to bits because of the traffic - the 123 was screwed with bunching, long gaps and curtailments.

116 On the A30 stretch to Ashford Hospital. The 482,490 H26 along the western perimeter road between Hatton Cross and Terminal 4.
465 south of Leatherhead down the hill towards the A24 and then along the A24 before it deviates via Mickleham.

When the 277 used to run to Leamouth, after the first 1-2 stops near the tower hamlets council office, it used to have a quick run on 40mph roads till the next stop on Trafalgar way

116 On the A30 stretch to Ashford Hospital. The speed limit is 40mph along this stretch of road. Are the buses speeding?

I like the 18 westbound between Little Venice and Royal Oak, under the underpass. Feels like a little non stop section. The drivers usually hammer the VH’s down there in the outside lane,

The 8 runs non-stop from Parnell Road, Bow to Bow Church via the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach. At one time this was designated as a Motorway - and was used by open-platform Routemasters! When all the new housing was built in the area I am surprised that the road was not realigned and bus stop bays put in so that buses could stop on the section of Tredegar Road between Fairfield Road and Wick Lane/Bow Interchange - a stop in this location for each direction would be very useful as it is quite a trek to and from the stops in Parnell Road. I Used to regularly ride on this section and as a enthusiast love getting a top speed thrash on out of the old Scania engined RML's many moons ago (about 35/40mph) good old days .
