Im aware 607 just got new buses but they were supposed to be getting 20 new vehicles,instead they have still got eleven 2010 vehicles Abellio hired for the route instead, which means about 10 new vehicles could be being put to use elsewhere?
Some vehicles ive seen are 2009 on some London routes,any older than this? On the whole although not a fan of most vehicles used these days being a routemaster design fan at least most vehicles are pretty new on most routes as in less than five year old.

The 607 will get its remaining VMHs once the electric buses start to arrive at Holloway. The former 207 Gemini 2s being used are only 9 years old, at max, which is still quite an average age for a lot of London’s fleet. Outside of London, a 9 year old vehicle would be considered relatively young. Also, only three bus types, currently take inspiration from the routemaster, no other modern types really carry that ‘routemaster design’. Even with the ones that do, they barely resemble a routemaster, apart from having the odd like-for-like feature, such as treadmaster in the NRM. |

The 607 has no vehicles hired in from Abellio - it has ex First VW's that were used on the 207 before it was lost by Metroline alongside the VMH's. |

318 has 57 plate E200's on the route, albeit half the fleet refurbished  I think WVL111 (03 plate) still appears on the 191 / 476 from time to time at NP... most of the more modern buses are from 59 plate (WVN) to 63 (DW) and the 341 HVs are under 3 years old  |

Not sure what your definition is, but plenty of routes with older buses, usually a couple of 15-17 year old buses on routes 72 and K1 Generally most pre 2008 buses are being phased out by summer 2020 for emissions reasons (but small number have been upgraded to euroVI). |

A new local route here in Eastbourne 5a which took over part of the 51 Tunbridge wells route are using some real old bangers so with this in mind London bus network has no bone shakers left.

I don't understand your issue with old buses - there have been many times where an old bus has done the job just as well as new ones. |

When you have been on a 99 bus from Eastbourne to Hastings a few years ago and the bone crunching ride then you have some idea. Also newer vehicles have more camera's on them so any idiots using Graffiti get dealt with.

Err, I've rode hundreds of old vehicles over my lifetime (some of my local routes here in London were using Olympians in 2005) so I don't need to ride a 99 to know. Also, I'm sure the 99 had not so old Enviro 400's before the MMC's were brought so hardly that bad. Old vehicles can and have been fitted with CCTV so quite irrelevant personally. |

The 194, 197 still use the DB250 variant DWs on route which daily also escapes onto the 194 and 264. Better hurry up though.

I would rather a DB250 DW turns up in preference to any 08-60 reg bus ... newer stuff seems more comfortable ... but in Croydon that is just a single digit number or 13-reg Ts and a few later DWs. |

Im talking around 2009 yearon single deckers that were then used on the route Age is just a number - anyone who was at the ADL event in Guildford recently would of saw how well looked after Safeguards ex Quality Line 02 reg MPD was. Very little vibrations & rattles & sounded very healthy. I don't know which 2009 single deckers your referring to but for we know, the maintenance from that depot could be the issue. |
