Sunday morning around 10:30. Trains between Acton Central and Richmond replaced by buses. Two consecutive buses heading for Richmond were so packed by the time they arrived at Gunnersbury that several passengers were unable to squeeze on. Boarding was via centre doors because the bus was so full of people. Is this worth a complaint. Some of us were stuck for 40-45 minutes at Gunnersbury before a bus came along that we could actually get on .

My lay opinion. A few questions would need to be asked.
Was the rail replacement service operating reliably? By that time it should have been running every 7-8 minutes so 45 minutes is a very long time to have to wait to board a bus.
Was there any space available on the 391? That should have been operating every 12-14 minutes by that time.
In the space of time you were waiting, 8 or 9 buses should have turned up going towards Richmond. Kew Gardens is a known attraction in the warmer months of the year so all capacity going that way should be utilised, including that on local buses. If there is a capacity problem on closure weekends then perhaps TfL could investigate requesting double deckers on the 391 on the Sundays when the Richmond branch is blocked.
If any case, I'd suggest you do contact TfL and let them look into it.

Here's a joke to lighten the mood:- A man trying to get on an overcrowded 192 was pushed off by the people inside. There's no room,' they said. 'It's full up!' 'But you must let me on!' shouted the man. 'Why, what's so special about you?' they asked. I'm the driver,' replied the man.
