This is certainly a good idea, its just a shame when TfL are looking at enhancing connections to the hospital they don't look at inceasing the frequency on the 166

This is certainly a good idea, its just a shame when TfL are looking at enhancing connections to the hospital they don't look at inceasing the frequency on the 166 It seems to be specifically the link between Sutton and Epsom Hospitals that is the driver for this proposal, not improved TfL links to Epsom Hospital in general.

It could be funded by reducing the over bussed 466.

We received 125 responses to the consultation; 121 from members of the public and four from stakeholders. We have reviewed the responses received and used these to help us make a better informed decision. We plan to go ahead with the extension to the hospital as outlined in the consultation.
Subject to planning permission, the hospital is about to begin some major building works which involve moving the main car park temporarily, for about one year. They are hoping to begin this in early summer 2020. The entrance to the car park will move from Dorking Road to Woodcote Green Road.
Therefore in light of the proposed works at the hospital, the introduction date will be delayed until 29 May 2021. Our consultation report can be found below.
