The 80/93 proposal could be genius as the 80 has very little through passengers and the support to the 93 from North Cheam to morden would be amazing. Dare I even say a slight reduction to the 93 might be possible as in the peaks it's really the N Cheam to Morden section that's dire. Similar to the 25/425 change.
The 413 looks a potential to go Belmont in place of the S3 which would cut to Sutton Statio. Again quite logical. Looks like the S4 takes on the 455 to Croydon. New S2 from St Helier Stn to Marsden.

According to the proposal, the S4 would terminate at Waddon Marsh and wouldn't reach Croydon breaking any sort of cross Croydon link and forcing people on to an already busy Tram system as the only means to reach Waddon Marsh & Ampere Way. The 289 does provide a bus link to Waddon Marsh but again, it's not a great alternative given it's unreliability and capacity issues - very poor move IMO and another of these so called 'improvements' for Croydon.

Almost no chance of the 80/93 proposal going ahead given the poor cost benefit score.

A much cheaper option would be to simply add some short workings to the 93. Monday to Fridays it could have 4 extra journeys between North Cheam and Morden and wouldn't add mroe buses north of Morden where they are potentially not needed.

Think you may have hit the nail on the head with the 456!

Maybe the S4 will terminate at Waddon Marsh and the 456 will replace the 455 to Wallington.

Maybe the S4 will terminate at Waddon Marsh and the 456 will replace the 455 to Wallington. According to the map, the S4 will run over the current 455 to Waddon Marsh bar the section along Stafford Road between Wallington & Plough Lane which will all be solely covered by the 157. There is no mention of a 456 nor would it make sense to duplicate the S4 extension either. An unrelated thing I've noticed is they've used Mike Harris's excellent bus map in this document - I hope they notified him first and not just done without permission.

I noticed that too - an indication that one part of TfL considers such a map useful,if not essential. Now, if only another part would reconsider.

Even thou the 80/93 has a poor cost ratio eventually tfl will have to do something with the 93. Demand keeps growing and buses are struggling more and more. Similar to the 343 where increase after increase effectively over bussed other sections of the route when eventually the best solution was to extend the 136.
