There still is a 4 car GWR HST on a branch lines More than the one, and on the main line, Penzance to Plymouth/Exeter. I see them regularly and even get to travel on one occasionally. So much better for the passenger than the modern rubbish.

Understand that this journey is the farewell tour
Can anyone confirm which trip will be the last LNER HST in passenger service?

How many in total GWR HSTs are left? I'm far from being expert on this, but could be around ten? i believe they also work Cardiff to Taunton services regularly: really that whole Cardiff to Penzance corridor, via Bristol. Not sure whether any get further west than Cardiff, or to Cheltenham for instance.

Some are moving over to East Midlands trains so will be running for couple more years, and will still be reaching London (but St Pancras rather than Kings Cross). East Midlands then gets new trains (class 804? which are 5 car bi-modes but with shorter 24m carriages ) The farewell is current routes, not withdrawal prior to scrapping the trains

Believe it’s Sunday 15th and the 1935 from Kings Cross to Leeds.
