How would that have been, it is a 17 bus pvr, used to be 19. Also many of its original batch DW's still stayed at [WN] apart from a few that went to [E] What was the Pvr during 2019? Ian Armstrong's excellent site will probably provide you with the answers you're seeking.

The H-reg Citybuses were a part-allocation for the 168. The G-reg batch is a bit of a mystery, as they turned up well before the 168 was won. I think they may have been bought for general fleet renewal but were then used to make up the allocation on the 168 when that route was won later in the year. Grey Green certainly didn't buy any new buses for the 141. there was some single doored G-reg Citybuses at DX, which were mostly used on the 173, but DX being DX at the time, they were used on everything apart from the 167. I'm pretty certainly there was a handful of dual doored G-reg ones as well, may have been for a PVR increase on the 24 There was no increase on the 24 at that time. I'm pretty sure the G-reg - both single-door and dual-door - were bought for general fleet renewal. They don't match any new contract requirements, and the company still had plenty of old bangers running on the 125 and 173.
Grey Green had a habit of buying small batches of buses for gradual fleet renewal, much like operators did in deregulationland. They bought a handful of new Scanias every year during the mid-90s - these went onto the flagship 24 allowing Citybuses to replace older buses on the "lesser" routes.

Spurs' Daniel Levy is storing EN18 in the Trophy Room as there is plenty of space until the Club use her at the end of the season According to "Chas 'n' Dave" (you're way too young to remember them) EN18 won't be needed for another seven years... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9tsTG4k0nEI was hoping for those ENs to stay in service for so many more years that they would be rare Stars Over 45

The long DLPs were almost all for the 29 (36 buses for a PVR of 31 - I guess one or two may have been for the 141). The 141 did get a part-allocation of new VLWs in 2002. It should have had a full allocation of new buses at that point but I think the decision to turn AD into an all-VLW garage meant that it also got some existing DLAs. It has had a few more part-allocations since then: the prototype hybrids in 2009, and some DWs in 2013. But never a full allocation of new buses.

Those buses were rockets. Probably on par with the Arrows and Lances I'd see around London. The 259 when it used to be with first capital had those arrows (similar to the ones on the 369) and boy were they fast especially on Seven Sisters Road.

They were then replaced by the ex Kentish Buses Olympians that instead of damp had the most overpower smell of diesel fumes if you sat at the rear.

I remember that stinking damp smell on the citybuses. Think the cushions got soaked because drivers never closed the windows in the night when buses came back to the depot and that with beer/drinks spillage on seats created that smell.

248 DW blinded for Cranham, Jobbers Rest - Never seen this before is this a curtailment or a rename of the Cranham destination. Didn’t think there was anywhere to turn around after Upminster Park Estate curtailment.

Didn’t think there was anywhere to turn around after Upminster Park Estate curtailment. Jobbers Rest is quite a bit further down St Mary's Lane on the 346/347 route- not quite sure it's even a curtailment point on the 248. Pretty sure there's also a low bridge between the Upminister junction and the Jobbers Rest, so hopefully no 248 would be sent down that way

Do you think this will go down badly? Both routes with ISA and lots of questionable 20mph zones No idea when I do a duty on either route I’ll respond to this post. abellion Replying to your post from March 2 - Decent running times as it did have before slightly less stand time at the garage with decent amount at Marylebone. Victoria is becoming some sort of traffic nightmare these days with traffic lights by terminus place taking forever to change causing bus queues 249 - Less stand time especially in the peaks 14 buses out all day, expect later on in the year nearer to Christmas for buses to be running late and possibly later departures issued by controllers and potentially curtailed buses. Overall I will say this. If the Valley Road LTN was still in I can tell you now almost all the service would either be curtailed to Clapham South or Balham or Crystal Palace! The 417 got absolutely destroyed when the LTN was in. I saw every possible curtailment on that route. I actually did the same duty 4 times on the 249 once each week from the second week of April the first one during half term and actually during the peaks I was running more late than the two occasions I did this duty during term time on the 4th occasion which was yesterday was definitely very late my first full trip from Clapham to Anerley was completed 15 minutes late because of traffic on Crown Lane and traffic heading into Westow Hill so ended up being 15 minutes late on the next trip all the way to Clapham Common and on return to Anerley 4 late then went back to garage for break. what happened to our member DT11 ? lonmark I was on a break from all forms of social media. Are LTs actually blinded for N137 now? I do wonder why the ES allocation has stopped SouthLondoner468 137/N137 is a Hybrid Contract so does not need require use of Electrics. 64 & N250 will use Electrics. LTs now have blinds for Route N137 it was bound to happen there is no way the N137 can run with ES alongside the 417 once the 64s buses go to the intended location do the maths. In addition Oxford Circus was already on the blinds so pretty much a number insert and side destinations. N137 went LT from 22nd April as the night before that it was all ES. ES was the only vehicle type that could be used because of the LED blinds and as I said before no BN vehicles ever had blinds for the N137 as it was always operated from N prior to the move.
Further comments I was quite shocked when I heard my former garage DT lost half the allocation 99 269 401 on 24th April and the 335 contract terminated early the next day the amount of texts I got from old colleagues. The 269 was my favourite high frequency route at DT, the pattern of 249 259 269 279 289 also broken now. When I started there in 2015 the PVR was 44 and when these routes go the PVR will be 59. Probably soon home to withdrawn fleet until moved due to the excess capacity in the garage there are plenty of surplus buses parked at N. The HAs are being used for Rail Replacements only. In addition 269 & SL3 will not be the same operator as someone suggested that is going to happen the day the SL3 was announced just because the 34 & SL1 awarded to the same operator does not mean a thing despite them both being two separate contracts. Overall I did have a feeling the entire lot (99 269 & 401) would go, not going to get into further discussion. Overall throughout the month it was great to hear the 141 & 341 have been retained with new Electrics alongside W4 retained with existing vehicles. 150 & 175 Argument Dun x2… “Only retained because they only had One Bidder” well they both had Three… bet the 5/N15 15 & 115 shocked many all only having One… DT overall have suffered some of the worst beatings at tenders since 2013, overall until the site goes Electric or if it ever does then we time will tell. 335-2025, 229 301 428 492 B15-2026… Time Will Tell is my final line. I will say in need of new buses last brand new set T301-331, ENR1-7 in 2016 and since then all buses unwanted from other locations. Not Arriva related but many of us did say the 65/N65 would be retained by RATP I wonder how many faces frowned at this announcement… Anyways post to be continued in the Superloop thread my thoughts on the proposed new routes…
