Hasn’t been used since the ‘72s were removed. Points now secured. Awaiting the delayed Holborn station reconstruction work.

Anyone else think that the condition of many of the 73 stock now is such that it appears that they are being left to slowly deteriorate?

Can't be any worse than the 92 stock Joking aside I remember when the 73 stock was getting refurbished in the mid 90s so feel old knowing these trains are nearly ready to go for scrapping.

I always thought the 92 stock were in pretty good condition for what they are, especially compared to the state of the 72 and 73 stock trains.

I compare them more to the 95 and 96 that have had more refurbishments than the 92 stock which have had a mini refresh around 2012. Not sure what you would expect from the 73 stock considering the age of them.

Had to wait 11 minutes for a Piccadilly line train northbound from Finsbury Park (worst I've seen it) I had a 15 minute wait a few weeks ago. Another day was 12 minutes, during the peak, the train got rammed

I am shocked this has happened, thought it had made money for the company. Why were they not used then for the main line or converted to RAT trains and then the ones used as RAT's put into normal service after all the line is suffering for trains over the past few years. Typical TfL

Typical TfL Spare parts are becoming hard to come by those days.bare in mind It wouldn't be compatible with the new signaling that's coming in

I alighted a Piccadilly Line train at Acton Town, from Heathrow Terminal 4, on Wednesday to get the District Line to Turnham Green. (Using route 272 to my late brother's flat would make a change from route 70 from Acton Town). Anyway, while I concede this might have been standard practice for a while now, I noticed the former District Line platforms used for both lines now. Even a train for Northfields, not even reaching Ealing Common, used the "District" westbound platform. Digressing a bit, I stayed at Premier Inn just outside Heathrow T4. Although I didn't notice this when I arrived, I spotted and used the walkway linking T4 departure lounge and all the hotels. I even caught a BA flight home from T5, as it made a change and was only around £10 more than an Avanti train with similar timings.

Piccadilly trains are booked to use platforms 1 & 4. I wonder if the plans still exist for the Piccadilly line to run to Ealing Broadway in place of the district line?

I'm surprised the flight even costed more with the amount of money Avanti charge these days.
