At 16.30 the TfL Status Updates were showing a "Good service" on the Central Line!
As I suspected, that was a temporary glitch. The previous "Part suspended" message has reappeared with an additional notice "Please complete tube journeys by 18.30 today" and warning of disruption tomorrow morning.

I got an email from TfL Although some Tube services have still been able to run today despite RMT's strike action, please note that we will not be able to operate any services this evening. Please try to avoid the network completely, but if you are travelling by Tube today, please complete your journeys by 18:30 and check before you travel for the latest information on what services are available.
Disruption will continue tomorrow morning, Wednesday 2 March, with no Tube service until at least 07:30 and a severely disrupted service after this. Customers are advised to avoid travelling in the early morning and aim to make journeys from mid-morning.
Further disruption is expected all day on Thursday 3 March, when customers are advised to work from home if they can, and into the morning of Friday 4 March, when customers should avoid early morning journeys.
All other TfL and National Rail services are not included in the RMT's strike action, but these services are expected to be much busier than usual and you may need to queue before boarding. If using services from stations also served by London Underground, check before you travel due to possible station closures.
Those arriving into London via National Rail stations or travelling around central London are encouraged to complete journeys on foot or by using Santander Cycles or e-scooters, as buses from these stations will be busier than normal.
For the latest information on how services are operating, use our TfL Go app.
Wearing face coverings is no longer mandatory on our services, but we continue to strongly recommend wearing one if you are able to.
Yours sincerely,
Customer Information Team Transport for London

As expected the 263 was absolutely horrendous this morning, ultimately no tube or tube access in Whetstone, East Finchley, North Finchley, Barnet, Highgate, Archway, Holloway & Highbury it was inevitable it would get really bad. I guess it shows how well used it is especially instances like this where for Barnet/Whetstone/Finchley residents this is the furthest they can get into town.

Update at 13.00: As above, plus: District Line now has a service between High Street Kensington and Ealing Broadway. Northern Line now has a service between Golders Green and Edgware. Not previously noted, but DLR is not operating to Bank as the station is closed. Lewisham services are terminating and starting back at Shadwell. Yes the DLR thing was very annoying - had a friend who did the hard work I. Getting to lewisham (braving the traffic and crowded buses) and jumped into a dlr without thinking only to be turfed off at shadwell. Got annoyed and came back (he had to get to Farringdon which is walkable from bank but not from shadwell). I luckily left late so did the about turn well before I believe this happened at many stations where London Overground served but the actual station was managed by London Underground. Stations like Blackhorse Rd had this problem and some which shares with the District line.

This I have to say is forward thinking to prevent further grief (using the signs from the pandemic)

However, sometimes trains would run down to and back out of Bank out of service. Not quite sure they they were doing it today or turning back from Shadwell

This I have to say is forward thinking to prevent further grief (using the signs from the pandemic) Noticed Arriva DX still use these on the 325 during school times and also noticed being used yesterday too towards Prince Regent probably because of heavy loadings from the strike.

With electronic displays the driver can display "Bus Full" instead of the destination, at the touch of a button (it can also be changed back as easily). LIVE Tube strike: London Underground hit by second 24-hour walkoutwww.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-england-london-60584641I wonder how routes like 733 have been coping during the strike. It appears that today many people were prepared or stayed at home. The delays on the road network was no way as bad as Tuesday. I was surprised people said they did not know the strike was going on, I was like wtf and this was people who normally use the train. On ibus screen on buses they would have a scrolling display every few minutes showing tube strike action on 1 and 3 March

Currently on one for 40 minutes and counting when I boarded at Aldgate and haven't even made it to Old Street. The traffic on the roads around here is noticeably higher, I wonder if more people aren't even bothering to use public transport and just using cars.

Today's strike tube services are pretty much the same as what managed to operate on Tuesday, but with the addition of a Bakerloo Line service between Elephant & Castle and Queen's Park. It's usefulness is somewhat limited as most of the intermediate stations are closed! Apart from the two terminals, only Lambeth North, Piccadilly Circus, Edgware Road and Maida Vale are actually open.
Central Line is operating Liverpool Street - Loughton & Newbury Park (via Woodford). Trains are not stopping at Bethnal Green and South Woodford. Also operating White City - Ealing Broadway & West Ruislip
District Line operating West Ham - Upminster; and High Street Kensington - Ealing Broadway & Wimbledon.
Northern Line is operating East Finchley - High Barnet plus Mill Hill East shuttle; and Golders Green - Edgware. Trains are not stopping at Brent Cross and Burnt Oak.
Piccadilly Line is operating Acton Town - Hounslow Central.
All services are reduced frequency and expected to finish around 18.30 today. Services will be disrupted tomorrow morning and are unlikely to commence before 07.30.
