Simonds Coach & Travel of Diss, Norfolk has added new ADL Enviro400 MMC YX72 OMY to its fleet, it entered service still in dealer white and without fleetnames. It is apparently the first new service bus for this operator in ten years! Photo (not mine): flic.kr/p/2oaYiCZ

2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of Richards Bros/Brodyr Richards of Cardigan/Ceredigion. To commemorate, their new 10.m Volvo B8LRE/MCV eVoRa has been given the Select Registration RB72 BUS and has been given a special three-tone-blue and red livery designed by Best Impressions, evoking past colour schemes. Newport Bus has a Yutong E12 electric CE72 YRM, fleetnumber 354. It was photographed in Chepstow about to work the T7 Traws Cymru service to Bristol and is in Traws Cymru livery, although currently without fleetnames and branding. The T7 service requires three vehicles so it is likely there will be others. Photo (not mine): flic.kr/p/2oc2w6Y

There is a 355 CE22 YRL the 3rd bus is a 2019 optare tempo not out in service yet I'm informed the former volvos are transferring back to stagecoach the buses on trawscymru routes are owned by the Welsh government and not the operators

Before the 72-registrations bow out, an unusual issue is for a bus that was built back in 2021.
LD72 XZS is a 10.3m version of the BYD D8UR/ADL Enviro400 EV City. It was built in anticipation of an order for shorter vehicles for route 200, for which Optare MetroDeckers were ordered instead. The vehicle was formally registered in January and will be used as a demonstrator. It is 0.6m shorter than the standard 10.9m version, and has a seating capacity of H38/20D (four fewer seats on each deck).
