The Bishops Avenue is a road mainly comprised of mansions, including some owned by celebrities so I don’t see why it desperately needs a station There isn't one near there although I'm aware that it is one of the richest roads in London East Finchley Station is around the corner from the northern part of the road

The London Overground Chingford Branch should have more stations. I would have additional stations at Forest Road Walthamstow, Chingford Hatch and Kings Road Chingford. In my opinion Kings Road is too close to the current Chingford station. We don't want DLR style train lines otherwise it would make commuting times undesirable

The line had been intended to continue to High Beach originally and a bill was submitted before Parliament in 1882, but in May that year Queen Victoria declared Epping Forest to be a public open space and opponents of the line used the possible desecration of the Forest to stop the extension being built.

The Chingford terminus does seem half baked and weird, so not a surprise. I guess an extension to High Beach now, would never happen, even if it had to be part tunnelled.

A High Beach extension would just not be economically viable. The original proposal envisaged suburban development stretching well into the Essex countryside beyond Chingford, but such development, like the railway, was stymied when the Forest was declared to be public open space (effectively it was the forerunner of the Green Belt). I do think more could be done to create a network of Leisure Buses around the Forest at weekends though, to reduce the number of car visitors. Routes linking Chingford and Loughton Stations and Waltham Abbey/Waltham Cross, timed to meet at High Beach, could be popular.

Crouch End and Muswell Hill immediately spring to mind. I also think Dalston needs better services to the west end, as the only tube link in Zone 1 takes you to Shoreditch which isn't very useful for most Think the issue with Muswell Hill is elevation? Muswell Hill (330 ft above sea level) Nearest stations: Hornsey Stn (121 feet AMSL) Alexandra Palace Stn (125 feet AMSL) Not sure if this was a show-stopper way back when or just put it in the too difficult / too expensive bracket? There should not be anything wrong with the height of Muswell Hill as it previously had a train service. It is a shame the the Northern Heights project when cancelled was never safeguarded to prevent anything else being done on it. It would now be expensive if they ever decided to go down that road, even though a lot of the infrastructure is in place. Even more difficult now, that Thameslink has taken over the rest of that line from Moorgate to Drayton Park. There's probably plenty of areas more in need of a station than Muswell Hill. The Northern line is very close by at East Finchley and Highgate stations, with the latter being linked by high frequency buses 43/134. Plus stations like Alexandra Palace and Hornsey in the other direction.
Similarly, Thamesmead is possibly less of a priority since the Elizabeth line opening at Abbey Wood, and the associated bus changes.
Meanwhile, for example, those living in the area around Yeading, Hillingdon, Hayes End and the western part of Greenford will have a somewhat longer bus journey to reach a station. And is probably partly why the 207/427/607 corridor has always been very busy (with the Acton Vale area being in a similar situation).
A shorter term priority would also be areas which have a station, but not at a suitable frequency for the demand. The Overground route to Watford for example has greatly benefitted from the increase from 3tph to 4tph. And I'm sure the Cheshunt/Enfield route will make a big difference too when increased. It's a shame that SWR services via Brentford have now been reduced to just 2tph which has likely put more pressure on nearby tube lines, and similarly with some other reductions recently to Southeastern services.
Plus of course areas which don't have adequate links to a train station. For example, Harrow & Wealdstone now has 4tph London Northwestern services, offering a very fast 15 minute journey non-stop into Euston. However some areas to the west of Wealdstone don't have a bus service there. Also some areas around Finchley and Hendon, which could benefit from a direct bus service to a Thameslink station.

It is the southern end that need a station, not Bishops Avenue as such, but it would be nice to have a station that serves Kenwood. Yes, there is the 210 bus, but a proper train station would be very useful to take visitors to the area.

Building an Overground station in Brixton will be costly due to engineering difficulties on the line running on a high viaduct. East Brixton has been suggested for re-opening instead with lower costs involved. East Brixton is an old proposal - the last proposal was to build a brand new Overground station closer to the current Brixton Station than East Brixton was which TfL already have the land for (providing they don’t carry on letting dodgy private developers build on it) I would be happy for Brixton Station to be extended. I wonder if it would be possible to stop Dartford trains there as well as LO?

What about Biggin Hill. That's one area that I feel could do with a train station as the residents over there rely on the 246 to Hayes, 320 to Bromley South and North and the R2 to Orpington.
Question is where would it be placed?

Question is where would it be placed? There have been propsals in the past to construct a railway line from Orpington to Biggin Hill. There was a proposal in 1902 for a line to Tatsfield but it came to nothing due to a lack of investment. A more ambitious proposal for the Southern Heights Light Railway, which was to have been an electrified line between Orpington and Sanderstead, was promoted by Colonel H F Stephens in the 1920s and was supported by the Southern Railway, which would have operated the line. A Light Railway Order for the construction of the line was granted on 29th December 1928 (94 years ago today) but lapsed in December 1930 as again the necessary funding could not be secured. The Southern Railway then withdrew its support and the line came to nothing. The SHLR did leave a legacy though - The Southern Railway planned to electrify the Woodside-Sandersted line, which had closed to passengers in 1917 but remained open for freight, excursions and diverted trains, so that a loop service could be operated over the new line from Charing Cross or Cannon Street via Lewisham-Orpington-Sandersted-Lewisham and v.v., this work was allowed to go ahead and regular electric services to Sandersted commenced in 1935. Services continued, latterly as a shuttle service to and from Elmers End at peak times only, until May 1983. Some of the formation is now used by Tramlink. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Heights_Light_Railway

I wonder if it would be possible to stop Dartford trains there as well as LO? There is the disused platform at Brixton on the Catford Loop line but I don't think it could ever be returned to use TBH. I'd be more than happy if we just got our connection to the Overground as anything else would be a bonus.
