Good proposal, probably an extra bus on the PVR (to 7)

It’s a decent idea for the 223 and Eastman Village, and will perhaps free up stand space at Harrow Bus Station for the proposed Harrow to Golders Green express route, but I do worry this will lead to a frequency cut to the H14.

While I agree that an additional service is needed for the redevelopments, this seems a very poor proposal, since the 223 will entirely parralel the H14 to Harrow and Northwick Park. What would be far more useful for residents is a local link to Wealdstone, for nearby shops but more importantly for access to fast trains into Euston. Could have instead diverted the 223 to Eastman Village via Wealdstone - maybe also with a double run to Harrow Leisure Centre (which has lost its direct link to Harrow Town Centre since the H9/H10 terminus change). I also wonder if the 223's 3bhp would be adequate, and perhaps if the H17 might be a more suitable route to extend that way?

If the 223 proposal happens I would definitely be thinking of a H14 extension from Northwick Park Hospital to somewhere like Sudbury Hill. Wouldn't be fair on the route if the 223 is extended.

To think the 223 was proposed for Withdrawal between Northwick Park and Harrow, yet now it is receiving an extension. Bus route development feels like expansion once year contraction the next and so forth

I would prefer to send it via Station Road, Harrow & Wealdstone Station and Headstone Drive rather than simply duplicating the H14. That might require an extra bus on the PVR but could be justified by the new links it would provide.

Not sure how many people would use it end to end but I'd say the H17 extended would be better. Eastman Village already has a link to Northwick Park Hospital so I don't see the benefit of a second route there. Alternatively extend the H14 to Sudbury or even Wembley Central

That’s one way to create space for the X183.

In the consultation they’ve written as justification for the change “new journey opportunities to locations such as Pinner and Hatch End” despite the fact that the 223 goes no where near Pinner and the H14 obviously serves Hatch End. The only useful new link for Eastman Village residents I can think of is Kenton tube. Forgive my cynicism, but on this occasion it looks like they’ve got money from developers and were not really sure what to do with it.

Towards Wembley though no vehicles can turn from Ellen Webb Drive to the Bridge in Wealdstone which is probably why TFL decided to simply duplicate it with the H14

Ideas: Divert the 395 between South Harrow and Harrow via the 258 then extend to Eastman Village
Reason: provides South Harrow a link to Eastman Village
