That's why i like the University of East London......anything goes on their system lol. While my net was down i was posting here via that and checking other sites. Not quite sure what their limit is yet though ;D ;D ;D ;D In which case I do hope a similar thing occurs at Queen Mary University (and that's if I work hard enough and get in). They have blocked youtube at Croydon College as well

It really does seem as if it is struggling, even when the engine reaches high revs. On another note, and with regards to the video of Selkent 17470, I had to laugh at the way it's described as "screaming and whistling" ;D

Don't think anything's blocked on Bath Spa's network, although our IT department seems to have all the initiative of a lump of coal.

Today I was on 9766. This bus is super fast, I was blown away by how fast it was. Thanks for watching the video.

Yeah i had noticed that. Wish they could do the same to the 174** batch at NS because they are stupidly sluggish now Here's a link of another previously sluggish bus that's been tweaked up. This V reg. bus now performs better than many of Travel London's later 51 reg machines. Pity it's no longer a regular on the 3. You can witness the acceleration best when the video gets to 5 and a half minutes. Compliments to our video member VJaska. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_JEk1CrW_A&feature=relatedBy the way, although the bus sounds like it's on Voith transmission, it's actually the old style ZF, but with the engine over revving.

You welcome! ;D I've been on this bus. It really does demonstrate true definition of a 260bhp engine, even when fully loaded. This bus is probably the few Travel London Tridents left unrestricted....except for the speed restriction of 40mph (instead of 55mph). By coincidence, the fastest ex route 295 DRL (K reg. Dennis Dart from London General) was DRL66....and....the fastest ex route 345 LDP was LDP66. All three buses had/has quick pullaway with good turbo throughout.

I sure I driven this bus but can't remember it at the moment. It does sound fast so I looking forward to drive it ;D I had a quick glance at some of your other videos. I noticed you got DLA322 with that awful engine its got lol. Another bus with a funny engine is London general WVL112. I don't think you got it have you?

No I haven't but if it is the whistling one, then it's one I'm looking for. I haven't seen DLA322 for a long while as I normally hear it when it passes my house.

I like the next batch of LDPs, can only remember LDP190-199. You mean... LDP191-210. LDP191-5 were for AL for the 163, while LDP196-210 were for the 80/151. The above indirectly is history.

Yes, they are the ones. Connex used to have similar mpds to them as they have quick gears and made muffled sounds. They were also very jolty when changing gear.

That depot's not had a route with all new buses since the 157, and even those buses are now one of the oldest double deckers in the fleet (after the ex 3 and 196 batch). I do realise they have the 152, but they still use 51 reg buses which aren't even euro_3.
