The 407's decker conversion is only a few days away now!! Nice to see something going ahead before renewal date for a change! I should imagine we’ll see the majority of 2401/2-9 before Saturday with the MMCs coming over for Saturday. Obviously transferring 2401 would be an extra bus but this would fit well to replace the 09 which currently is a spare for the 109 and the other 09 should go as well due to the school journey on the 407 being discontinued. I hope the 407 can cope without the school journey. Another Abellio route, the 207, is packed to the rafters with schoolchildren now, no thanks to TfL for withdrawing the two school journeys. 2401 hasn't been in service for ages which makes me think it'll go to BC for the 407

The first of the 407’s double deckers has finally entered service on the route , and rather fittingly it’s 2407 that becomes the first . It subbed 8838 at around 4pm I’ve avoided this route whilst it’s been single decks, but looking forward to using it once fully converted. As have I, I often choose to change in Purley for a 434 rather than catching a 407 straight from Croydon unless I really have to, as it’s almost always packed and those horrific ZF E200’s

2585 becomes the third DD to transfer to BC 8502 went out of service for 2585 to come into service. I wonder if there will be other subs during the day to allow deckers to come into service.

Interesting to see 2585 transfer over. I was expecting 2594-2602 to move but it looks like Abellio have taken the pragmatic that a DD is a DD

I’m sure it won’t be a random jumble of vehicles as Abellio don’t tend to do that.

It was confirmed¹ a good while back that the 407 will consist of approximately eight MMC bodied E40Hs with the rest being most of those 'mk1' variants. ¹ - mentioned in previous LOTS publication

I was anticipating the highest numbered of the 45's batch transferring over but instead it looks like the lowest numbered one will move to BC

8233 and 8239 on the E7

This is getting ridiculous now. Countless times on the list of rare workings on LVF I see buses of a counterfeit length working the route, and when I'm in Ealing Broadway I see very busy one door buses working the E7. Something really needs to be done to improve the reliability of the E7's batch. Maybe we'll see a bus from the C10 transfer to GW to ease the shortage of two door SDs if the problem is still going on then. The alternative is that one of the 407’s E200s transfers to GW for the E7, but most if not all of the 407's batch are destined for TF.

Please excuse my ignorance, but where did the latter half of the first paragraph come from? Are you suggesting they swap batteries, or suggesting they charge batteries to charge batteries which would appear highly inefficient?

2613 parked up in Coulsdon at the 404 stand seems to have a huge dent above the front doors
