we might see a smart hybrid on a 267. Highly likely but I am interested to see an LT on the 285. It would be interesting to see one stray but I doubt they will add the route to the blinds.

LTs appearing on non LT routes is almost unheard of. Ok it has happened a few times but on most of those occasions they have been on routes that either where just about to get LTs like the 67 or routes that used to have them like the 88.

I just can't see LTs going onto the 285 but within this industry you can never say never.

Abellio seem quite strict with their LT allocations, where other companies are looser and permit LTs on non-LT routes and vice versa, Abellio rarely do this so this so I doubt it will happen.

Indeed, Abellio seem to be very strict with their LT allocations. Like the 68 and 3 have not have had a conventional since becoming LT routes for Abellio. 159 and 211 both have but they was very rare and the reason the 159 got them was because they was asked for by TfL. Who remembers a post on here something about how a conventional went out on the 3 and Abellio weren't happy so it was ordered to be taken back to the garage asap, I know this sounds like fake news but it was from someone who worked at WL at the time sorry can't remember who it was.

The 415 occasionally sees conventionals though, but that's quite infrequent suggesting it is only when there are no LTs available.

I would really like to see a conventional on the 68 especially given the fact they was so common on the 68 when ran by Go Ahead.

It happens very often on the 332! I believe the reason for that is extra flexibility on the 332 - as it needs hybrids, and it is the only route at W using conventional hybrids - meaning if they need to sub a TEH or a TEH needs to go for maintenance it is easy to just put out an LT instead, especially as I believe W have a few surplus to allocation. Depending on whether the route can accommodate them or not, it'll be interesting whether they stray on the 139 when its won. Also when the 139 is won there will be a pool of hybrids created, possibly reducing LT workings on the 332, as now there would be a conventional hybrid pool for the 139 & 332.

Rather geeky this, but I’m really curious to see what registration marks the Caetano ECities will carry. I wonder if Reading (RX/RN) plates could make a return which the old 235 Caetano’s had, or Nottingham (FJ) plates which are very common on National Express Caetano Levantes. Will be interesting 😁 What about the 'HX' registrations? I believe those were the registrations for the 112s Caetano’s when it was at Travel London and Abellio London Yes, 112 had HX04 examples new to TGM. EDIT: Dockland Buses also had HV02 examples new to the 167 - three of these ended up with Ealing Community Transport joining it's own Caetano Nimbus Darts when the 195 gained a PVR increase. Mitcham Belle had HV52 examples new for the 493. Meanwhile, TGM acquired two short HX04 examples from Link Line of Harlesden
