Must say it looked very smart and got a few admiring glances from drivers and passengers waiting at the bus stop opposite the garage. FTR it was at BX for some running repairs to a windscreen wiper.

Yes, looks nice, but I suppose it was only given admiring glances probably because of the colour scheme. Overall red does not thrill me as a bus enthusiast and I dont bother taking pictures of buses in London any more.

A Brighton & Hove OmniDekka... looks odd seeing one of these within the London area... Thanks for the pics lc1 - they've put a smile on my face

They drove a bus to London, from Brighton just to fix a windscreen wiper?!
So much for buses being environmentally friendly...

I see Brighton & Hove quite often in Romford. They seem to do alot of excursions to Romford Market so i wouldn't be suprised if that was the reason it was up here

Omnidekkas are decent buses as long as looked after properly just like any other vehicle.

when i was training B&H had one of thier coaches at Camberwell, the driver was having a short meal break after dropping his passengers off in central london.
The other day a selkent Trident on the 96 visited BX for some water! In the past we've had 269's in for water, Metrobus's 938 (mobility bus) driver makes regualr calls to BX for a cuppa - Parking his Dart on the forecourt, so its not uncommon for other companies vehicles to visit other companies/groups garages. It was once a regular occurrance that some 51's took thier meal reliefs at Plumstead (drivers choice i must add, not scheduled to do so), so the sight of a PVL parked outside PD was not until recently a rare sight!

Indeed we've also had East Thames buses on the forecourt for running repairs and if one of our 51's develops a fault at Orpington they can go to Metrobus garage or a Metrobus or Selkent engineer will come and sort them out, likewise I saw our engineers fixing a B14 dart at the shopping centre the other day. As for buses coming to get water I hope we charge them

Travel London's C1 Darts sometimes park up at Transdev's Shepherd's Bush Garage. Also, on many occasion I've seen Transdev's route 57 Tridents inside London General's Merton Garage.

Didn't the 45 used to do that when it terminated outside BN. I seem to remember drivers popping in and out of the garage, even though it was run by Cowie at the time.
