In addition to details of transport content I also show certain locations (where known), snippets of information and all sorts of bits and pieces. Can I not tempt you?

I've got quite a bit on 'Genevieve', 'Summer Holiday' the 'On the Buses' films and a number of American and other British films of the 1930s, 40s, 50s & 60s. Well over 300 titles now and more are being discovered all the time. E-mail to colinread_86@hotmail.com for the address and your order will be met virtually by return.
What are you waiting for?

Colin, How often do you update your own pages? Re'passport to Pimlico, someonr gave you a vague location. I recently watched it again and the PRECISE location of 'Burgundia' are the flats opposite the junction of Lambeth Road and Hercules Road, the give away is not only the rails out of Waterloo, but the Beck & Pollizer offices and a STL on the No3. One other-the worse case of continutity(this is going to run and run), is in 'The Ladykillers'. When Alec Guiness knocks at Katie Johnsons door, the front of St. Pancreas is BEHIND him-meaning her house is SOUTH of the Euston Road, but her back garden overlooks the tracks out of Kings Cross!! I'll drop a suptle hint to 'her indoors', birthday neck month-mine not hers.

i suppose everyones got the 3 on the buses films. i recently found all 3 of them on a (new)2 dvd box set on amazon. so i got it, and me and the wife think this 70's sense of humour is good. also goes for the carry ons, and the love thy neighbour series...... after i got the 3 OTB films, i looked into what happened to the characters, and it seems that olives husband, arthur, left the series, and there was a blakey centered programme made all about the inspectors life???

sdbloke, seem to remember Michael Robbins(Arthur), died some years ago, Blakey is now in Last of the summer Wine, and I've seen 'Olive' in Eastenders. Read somewhere that Anna Karen(Olive) was once a stripper!! Talking of Eastenders, I'm sure the scriptwriters have never been anywhere near 'Walford', last week they had a RML STILL on the 15!!

Thanks for that jtuthill. I've no plans for a reprint at the moment - it's getting too big for present binding method. Maybe in 2006. Yes I too was aware of the anomaly in The Ladykillers. Apparently the old house was specially built for the film. The area north of Kings Cross (Belle Isle) is now completely redeveloped with modern houses.

Sorry, I never was a fan of 'On the Buses' TV series - could have been so much better I always thought with more serious storylines. As for the films, quite honestly they were absolute rubbish with the nadir being reached with 'Mutiny' and 'Holiday On The Buses'. Bad production, direction and insulting to women and the intelligence.

Bad production, direction and insulting to women and the intelligence. I enjoyed them as a kid lol. Just watched the original film, where they introduced women drivers etc. However, i did notice one thing. In the film they go to the old LT skidpatch. You had their rather shabby looking Bristol, with the RT's and of course the gods that are the RM's!!! They showed the RM doing a skid yay ;D The bus was RM200 and was shown being based at WH (West Ham)
