Following a tube bash for charity in May 03, I'm planning another, possibly in late March. Object is to pass through as many LUL stations in Zones 1-6 in one day (before sections of the system close for maintenance!)
Starting at Victoria very early, basically plan to do Brixton and Victoria Line; (bus) Walthamstow - Leyton and eastern stuff (Central line, Epping and Upminster); East London line, Hammersmith & City; Acton Tn/Sth Harrow; Heathrow (& H Express); Harrow & Weald., Moor Pk, Uxbridge; W Ruislip and back to town; south side of Circle; Morden; Wimbledon; Earls Ct - Cockfosters; High Barnet; Waterloo; Stanmore; Edgware, ctl London; Notting Hill Gt and rest of Bakerloo.
Managed 221 stations last time. Target 268. Will let you know how I got on.

Well I did it on 30th March. All went to plan as far as Moor Park then it went pear-shaped. Problems on Met & Jubilee lines. Bussed Preston Rd - Colindale for Edgware line thru to Morden, then bus to Wimbledon, Earls Ct, Barons Ct - Cockfosters; High Barnet; Embkt., Monument/Bank - Ealing Bdy; fast train to Paddington; Bakerloo to Embkt and District to Sloane Sq. Total 227 stations. Never again!
