For some reason, NR stations (East Croydon e.g.) cannot now issue thru Return Priv tickets to the Underground zones. It's a case of a Return to London and re-book. Singles to LUL are OK. Odd.

I am not sure that you ever could get priv returns from all NR stations to all LU stations, but having a staff pass I never asked for got the LU bit , but seem to remember always having to buy a priv return for my wife from Charing Cross station. You can still get cross London returns thoiugh, I did Manchester to Chelmsford the other day and that ticket includerd the LU travel.

Yes, I think thru tickets to the Underground (Privilege or otherwise) are restricted to the former Network SouthEast area, i.e. out to Bedford, Oxford, Colchester etc, Salisbury & Weymouth and all of old Southern Region.
