From Walthamstow's local paper:
"The building of an Olympic velodrome and BMX track may see the resumption of train services between Chingford and Stratford.
The station, currently disused and derelict, could see services stop there once again, the station was closed in the early seventies and so did the services that used to serve it. Currently there is only one return passenger train on the Lea Bridge Line nowdays, Mon-Fri only. However this will be transformed if the plans to have services running between Stratford and Chingford via the Hall Farm Curve and Lea Bridge, which would be reopened.
There is also a separate proposal of services running to and from Tottenham Hale which would link with Stanstead Express services. These proposals could see a new station at Temple Mills near to the Olympic velodrome.

Lea Bridge Station closed in 1976 to be precise.
From the December 2005 National Rail timetable change, there will a new service between Hertford East and Stratford via Lea Bridge Line, not sure about Lea Bridge Station itself.

Any news as to what depot will run it? I've heard that there is to be one at Liverpool Street and that Gidea Park is to close. Gidea Park drivers aren't too happy about this as you can tell
