Coming Back From Ilford When Leaving Manor Park Station On Station Road,The Road was clear after sitting in a bit of the usual traffic on romford road.
The Driver Puts His Foot Down..
Then The Bus Makes A Popping sound and then some Loud Roar Sounded like a gemini..
After gettin of the bus It Sounded like The W12 Solos/ Gemini and a wedding car with the cans dragging along the floor

Also, as I went on an 6 hour tour around Central London taking pics, one of the MAs on the 73 was making roaring sounds, very unusual for an Artic.

Looks like anything that uses the OM906 can roar, especially the Excels and Tempos.

I wish i was able to video this earlier, but man there's proof that the B7TL is LOUDER than the Trident. I was in Romford today, waiting at the station for a 499 (first time under Arriva) and 17861 pulled up on the 5 making a very loud noise while under acceleration. Even for a Trident, this was very loud. However, VLA143 had gone past on the 128 moments before and Jesus Christ, vjaska, how can you live with that on route!!! It was absolutely deafening To put it in comparison to 17861, the VLA was about twice, if not more, louder than the Trident. Also, 17998 was making a strange rattling noise as it went past me this evening on Hilldene Avenue on the 174

I live next to five Volvo B7TL routes, so actually its quite fun trying to work out what route and bus the fan is coming from. Btw, does anyone know why a CT Plus Dart Esteem blinded for the W13 with Leytonstone on the front was on Brixton Hill going towards Streatham today.

You should have noted that in strange turns and odd observations. As for my bloved Volvos all I can say is that I have not heard real bad about the b9tls, only thing I have heard of is one of Arriva Original London Sightseeing Tours Olympus making a fan noise a while back.

Really there's just no excuse for Scanias to be making this kind of noises. Is it a regular occurence or is it just a very odd few that do roar?

Dear dear dear, I'd almost certainly point the finger of blame at maintenance. Up here the Scania Omnidekkas Omnicities and Omnitowns are quiet as mice...
