Any news on deliveries of the E200 MMCs for contract starts in May, Abellio route gains E10 and E11 (9m versions), RATP renewals on 272 and 440 (10.5m versions) The Abellio ones have been built and are currently on test in Scarborough. Where do you find information like this? Can you recommend anyone on any platform that posts factory/ADL yard pics?

I wonder if the wrong size E200s bought for the 393 would be better suited to the 268 rather than send the buses back or leave them languishing in storage? Just a thought What will happen to the 9 DELs leftover? There were 16 DELs ordered for the 393 and the TVR for the 268 is 7.

was going to post this in a separate thread. Should be pretty easy for London operators to manage with a couple of loans here and there and a few temporary double decking of routes. Is it all E200s or just ones from a certain year? Let's not forget various batches of cars have been recalled over the years because they've caught fire on a regular basis or had braking issues etc

They've recalled buses before as well such as Omnicity DD's where a serious fault was discovered with the staircase IIRC and Omnicity DD's were sent away to have it rectified including all London ones.

Well that's going to have a bit of an impact on Stagecoach right across the country given the vast numbers of ADL buses they operate and the tighter fleet margins they work to. The saving grace is that many places don't have early or late or Sunday services so more time for inspections and rectification work (assuming engineering resources are available).

It'll certainly have an impact on RATP given their mass E200 orders! Wonder how many E200's this is affecting?

The issue was discovered after a First Glasgow Enviro 300 was involved in a collision that injured the driver and passengers - the rear anchor bolt spring was found to be the issue and further defective ones were found on other members of the fleet which prompted this recall - www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/17451772.first-glasgow-blasted-over-wilful-and-reckless-clydeside-expressway-smash-which-injured-dozens/
