Why? where's the harm in having a sign visible for people who can't see the main dot matrix screen. Indeed on a PVL or E there are plenty of seats that cannot see the iBus display's (besides the stopping sign at the front of the lower deck is what I look at to see if someone has rung the bell ) There is a solution to that without having the old bus stopping signs still in place. On Q PVLs, MW WVLs and A EVLs, when the bell is pressed, it says,"Bus stopping at next bus stop, please stand well clear of doors".

I don't see how more computerised voices barking at passengers couldn't be annoying

There's quiet a few places that don't sound right, I think it's here posh voice, other than the one you have mentioned I also find here pronunciation wrong, for instance the way she pronounces Plumstead and the Eardley Arms, she pronounces them as they are spelt (which is probably correct but is not the way everyone says them. Indeed on a PVL or E there are plenty of seats that cannot see the iBus display's (besides the stopping sign at the front of the lower deck is what I look at to see if someone has rung the bell ) What's wrong with your dashboard then ? Nothing, I've just got into the habit of using the bus stopping sign at the front and besides on an E you cannot see the dash sign when wearing sunglasses

I also find that some screens are brighter then others. Does anyone know where the dot matrix screen goes on Arriva Enviro 200's? There dosent seem to be room to be room on the back of the cab due to the CCTV screen. Also there dosen't seem to be room if it hangs from the celing like I've seen on some LC LDP's due to the cab door when open the top is only about half inch from the ceiling.

I think there should be a clock on iBus!
The one on the 3 used to be really useful, when set properly, and I do miss it on other routes. It can go on the second line which is blank until someone presses the bell.

That is actually a VERY good idea, I remember following the one on the 3 down whitehall when I was running light back to BX one morning and thinking what a good idea it was.

I think the iBus should be set to the blind. Also i was on the 105 a few weeks ago, & the iBus wasn't working on certain sections[mainly with tree lined roads], i found it can be usefull & also usless, like on the 23 on thee same day, was going to Liverpool Street, but because the bus took what felt like 30 min going between Marble Arch & OxC[this was a Saturday Evening around 7pm ] the driver reset the blind for Aldwych, & the iBus stopped working.

This also happened one time on the 50. The driver played the annoucment 'destination has changed' and then he turned it off. Maybe the curtailment for aldwych wasn't there.
Oxford street is very busy on saturday evenings with all the rickshaws and taxis out and about. Regent street is sometimes busier during midnights than during the day

I think there should be a clock on iBus! do you mean a clock that the passengers can see or a clock on the module in the driver's cab? coz there is a digital one on the screen for the driver.

The only downside is that it reminds punters how late they are when stuck in traffic, which can add to them wanting to get off in between stops...or opening the doors themselves (baring in mind they do that anyway).
