There was a low bridge on Carpenters Road, however because of the 2012 Olympics development it's now closed. I know that doesn't help much .... actually maybe it could help, in case you try going down that road and end up having to turn around I'm sure there's other members on here with a better knowledge of the Stratford area than me who will be happy to help I'm sure thats the road my bus driving instructor used to try to take us down when I was training. Then it must be a teeny weeny bit too low for today's double-deckers to take - maybe older DDs such as Metros (like the one you trained in) may have been able to make it, but only just? I know that many years ago RLHs on the 178 (when it used to run from Clapton Pond to Stratford [Maryland]) used to pass under this bridge and they only just made it too - in fact I think they were low-height.

Insert, it was a joke about the 25 and Steve's decker (Me not knowing the 25 routeing so wouldn't have a clue if there was low bridges or not)
As for my instrutor trying to take us down the road with the low bridge, the key word is trying, he used to do it as a test to see if we was paying attention to road signs, obviously if anyone went down there he would stop them well before the bridge.

Thanks for the help guys They have given me a map and it does tell me about two low bridges in hackney wick. Of course, the map is unclear so got to rely on my own a-z. Definately will follow the 25 from the city all the way to stratford. Tomorrow should be fun Steve, don't forget the 25 WILL go under a low bridge you won't in your decker ;D I was always aware that this might happened but luckly there was no low bridges. I put my experiences in the general discussion thread

An odd question, but is there anywhere online that maintains a list of bus routes and where they operate, or can be used as one? It has to be in a single file or web page though. It does not matter how it references places, whether towns, places, borough, post codes, or just even large general areas.
I know there is the routes page on the londonbusroutes.net site, but that is too arbitrary in the places it lists for a route. If I used that to find all the routes serving Piccadilly Circus, for example, it would only show buses which terminate there and so miss out a lot of routes. Otherwise it would have been perfect.

Use the TfL spider maps for most major locations.

It needs to be a single file or web page though as I want to write something that will automatically use it to cross reference the bus travel updates to filter the information into something more useful than just a long list of every route, or having to check each route separately. Which are the only options TfL offer.

Thank for the help. Although I could not find what I needed on the site, I ended up following the links to this page: busroutes.topcities.com/busroute.htmThat should be good enough for what I am trying to achieve.
